Why & How to fit H&R wheel spacers to your Jaguar XFR – What Handling Difference?

Reasons behind fitting wheel spacers for looks and handling.

How to fit them to make sure it is as safe as they can be.

H&R spacers are the highest quality spacers I could find.

Euro car parts are H&R’s UK main dealers and that’s where I found the best deal for them.
H&R part numbers are:
B4035633 (20mm)
B5035633 (25mm)

Thank you to my wife Helen for helping me by filming me playing around on my car, if you fancy checking out her channel, there are some cool videos on there.

What kind ofbrake discs do you have? I can not find perforated discs for my jag.

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Oh, one of my front wheel speed sensors has gone u/s. Does the car go into limp mode? Hell no! No abs, no e-diff, no traction control but still full power! A bit hairy if the roads damp! πŸ™ˆ

Hi, I’ve been told that 20mm spacers on the front gives you tyre rub on the inner arches, have you experienced any? I also want to run 20mm on the front and 25mm on the rear, I have the stock 20" rims on my Jag. Great vid.

Spooky I purchased a set of H&R spacers In the week. Went for 15 & 20mm. I run the stock XFR wheels and I’m led to believe my angle grinder can stay in its box, buy we will see if that’s the case.

You two do make me chuckle, dirty minded but cracks me up.

Hi, I have a 2009 XF 245/45r18 tires. What size spacers do you recommend for front an rear?

  7. Blake & Sons Heating & Air on September 26, 2023 at 11:05 pm

Did you take the tires back off after 60 miles and re-torque? About to install same sizes on mine

  8. aunty greg on September 26, 2023 at 11:05 pm

Why no locktite on the spacer nuts

  9. R Rod on September 26, 2023 at 11:06 pm

Comparing a go kart and a road car differences by using spacers is very stupid. On a road car widening the rear does not make one wheel more prone to lift. You feel the car different because adding spacers changes (increases) the wheel leverage load on the springs, and as a result you get the feel and behavior of having a softer springs.

The reason the factory puts the wheel deep in the arches is for aerodynamic drag reducing purposes, and the law dictates your tires cannot protrude from the wheel arches. Wheels produce quite a bit of drag. Interestingly enough the first gen XFR like yours and mine has the lowest drag Cd of any competitor in this class. .27 for the pre facelift and .31 on the XFRS facelift. Speaking of the XFRS, it has 10mm wider track front and rear than the standard XFR.

Nice video πŸ‘.looks great πŸ‘. By the way, that theme you have on your screen, with the flag, is that only on R100? I don’t have that picture on my screen. Maybe it changed when they did the face lift

Great video helps alot. I can custom order spacers for my ’12 XFR with Dracos in the states. What do you think about 23mm rear, 18mm front future lowered with the Spires springs which I believe drop 18mm-20mm. Just a bit less wide then yours. Can choose any width I want.

hi racer 69 where did you get your paddle shift extensions from i am looking to purchase some thanks

  14. TheOxidizer2k on September 26, 2023 at 11:13 pm

Did you figure out why the passenger side rear was out farther?

  15. STEPHEN GRAY on September 26, 2023 at 11:14 pm

    20mm is too wide imho.
I went 15mm on the rear of my XFR.
    It’s perfect for them.

I drive my "S" around country lanes around my house, the handling is supreme, the product of test drivers on fast tracks, lanes, cobbled streets and sleeping policemen. I just can’t justify the loss of handling performance for something purely aesthetic.

    What your suspension, standard?

  18. Juan Nieves on September 26, 2023 at 11:22 pm

will this be safe for the rear differential for a 2012 jaguar xf profolio Non charger ?

  19. Henry Siegertsz on September 26, 2023 at 11:29 pm

How much unsprung mass it this adding per wheel?
I don’t understand spacers, my son has them on his Abarth 500, fitted by a "mechanic" who didn’t use longer stud bolts to compensate for the spacer thicness. The bolts were holding on 5mm of thread.
His wheel came off, luckily at 15-20mph, a mile from home.

Hey there…. I have a 2012 Jaguar XF ( non Super charged) 5.0 V8…… Should I go with 20mm spacers all around or maybe go with 15mm front and 20mm back? Break it up a little? What do you think? Thx

    Another great vid, looks good.

Though isn’t the rear end of an XFR slippy enough lol?
