When a mechanic has to call a tow truck..

When a mechanic has to call a tow truck..

My friend Gavin was on his a way to a fishing trip when his tire exploded and left him stranded in the wilderness far from phone service or any help. He finally got a ride to the nearest town and called me to get his car. So I took my sneaker tow truck up and got it loaded on the Collins Dollies for the trip back home

Amazing. I know of several cars that should have spares

  2. Anthony Humbert on July 4, 2023 at 2:44 am

Mechanics work on everyone else’s junk all day everyday. We really don’t want to wrench on our own junk afterwards.

  3. raw data on July 4, 2023 at 2:44 am

Full electric vehicles will be even worse for blowouts
Heavy battery bricks on little energy efficient tires
It’ll be no match for Canadian potholes

  4. Robert Boyd on July 4, 2023 at 2:45 am

Should have hooked the front first then put 2 jack stands at the jack points then lowered the front of the car the the rails would be easier loaded and dollies raised up and ready to go then raise front on the rails move the jack stands and that’s it

  5. craig bowley on July 4, 2023 at 2:50 am

That area is cursed I got 2 flats in one night right there on my way to lapine. Changed the first then the spare popped about a quarter mile down the road.

Best part was watching you wait for traffic to go by!

  8. hoggif on July 4, 2023 at 2:53 am

I always either buy an extra spare or use one wheel of the other set as a spare (In my climate I have a separate set for winter snow use and another for summer). Can gets you only so far, even a rather small tear and you’re out of luck.

  9. Ray Herriott on July 4, 2023 at 2:53 am

Why not just bring another wheel for the hybrid?

  10. CS on July 4, 2023 at 2:54 am

    Gas station 🐔? 🤔 😬😬

  11. Teddy The Bear on July 4, 2023 at 2:54 am

There’s actually a lot of newer vehicles sold without a spare to save weight. Even if you do have a spare, it’s probably a compact temporary one.
I ordered myself an extra rim and mounted one of the good old tires on it when I got some new ones. Had to rearrange the space where the factory spare used to be, but it was worth it. I drive 400 miles a week. A full size spare allows you to not worry about it if you need to use it long distance.

  12. David on July 4, 2023 at 3:01 am

I like how you tuck in your tail your straps I’ve been doing that for many years

  13. Caroline on July 4, 2023 at 3:02 am

The Chevron with the "good chicken". Which one is that? We always eat at Black Bear Diner when passing through Madras, but might want something quicker some time 🙂

  14. Tom Beilman on July 4, 2023 at 3:03 am

My Prius had a donut spare and lug wrench and a jack, don’t think I ever used it

  15. h.h.legacydiesel on July 4, 2023 at 3:03 am

    Thanks Casey. ✌🏻

  16. Winged Anglers on July 4, 2023 at 3:04 am

I had to reset my youtube name… what kind of drone do you use? Love your footage and that you do this by yourself…. im researching for our channel and looking to buy a drone today…

  17. J C Gardner on July 4, 2023 at 3:05 am

Glad you thought of Riley. Get time with her!

  18. RODERICK D CRAWFORD on July 4, 2023 at 3:06 am

What’s the matter you got no remote for the truck so you can push a button and it rolled forward

  19. Chuck WA7JOS on July 4, 2023 at 3:07 am

My Cobalt came with the same no spare, no jack configuration. My first accessory was a trip to the junk yard to procure those items. I’m not going to drive across WY without a spare! If I *HAD* AAA, it would be a 3 hour wait for them to reach me.

  20. Matthew Miller on July 4, 2023 at 3:09 am

Casey, have you thought about installing a manual locking hub conversion on the front end of your Dodge RAM 3500 Cummins? We had them installed on our 2006 3500 Mega-Cab Cummins last year…what a difference, especially in mileage too.

  21. xWildfir3x on July 4, 2023 at 3:11 am

my 2013 Malibu came with an air compressor and that was it.

  22. Kbizzle82 on July 4, 2023 at 3:12 am

I love Toyota but this is inexcusable..

  23. John Rau on July 4, 2023 at 3:12 am

Not trying to be a smart ass, but why not take a spare and tools, and change it on the side of the road??

  24. 757 Lawn Pros on July 4, 2023 at 3:13 am

I seen you do that tail tuck on another video and I started trying and iv never had a tail come loose since. Has saved me some straps thanks for the tip

  25. Brimstone667 on July 4, 2023 at 3:13 am

i love those dollies, i need to find some fer my wrecker

  26. Ronny Dowdy on July 4, 2023 at 3:14 am

Lol no spare tire in that car. No jack no lug wrench just a can of fix a flat..hilarious.

  27. Steve CX650T on July 4, 2023 at 3:15 am

    Cheers Casey.

  28. Cliff Morgan on July 4, 2023 at 3:16 am

Peanut butter. Makes a milkshake health food! Lol

  29. Ross Hannemann on July 4, 2023 at 3:17 am

It’s how manufacturers cheat emissions targets, less weight with no spare.

  30. RODERICK D CRAWFORD on July 4, 2023 at 3:18 am

You know it’s really flat on the bottom

  31. takmot716 on July 4, 2023 at 3:20 am

What about the hernia surgery after the winter tow season??

  32. Casey LaDelle on July 4, 2023 at 3:21 am

On today’s episode of, Casey can’t figure out technology…. YES, the sound sucks, and I’m very well aware of it. I’ve never owned an actual camera before and I’m still trying to figure out how to use it. This camera has actual "settings" that have to be adjusted depending on the environment and the use of external microphones, which I was using in this video. Unfortunately I’m still trying to figure out how to use the settings and completely screwed them up in this video. Remember, I never said I was good at this…

  33. Steve CX650T on July 4, 2023 at 3:24 am

Hi Casey, both dolly crossbars appear to be slightly bent ! Are they designed like that or have you ‘’ them ?

  34. Elite Fleet Automotive on July 4, 2023 at 3:24 am

Haha I’m surprised Gavin didn’t expand into situation more…
Gavin’s friend Matt flew out here from Pennsylvania so Gavin took the week off and that fishing trip was supposed to be the highlight of their vacation! Bummer!
Really glad that blow out didn’t turn into him wrecking the car or worse!
Thanks for saving the Elite Fleet crew once again Casey, love ya man!

  35. Mark Hight on July 4, 2023 at 3:25 am

    Hahaha at the ending!!!

  36. Gert van Biljon on July 4, 2023 at 3:27 am

Casey, thanks for the videos! What is that interesting black thing in Gavins garage, hiding behind the red Toyota?

  37. Vickie Setzer on July 4, 2023 at 3:28 am

Our Chevy Cruz had the same flat and we are elderly, stuck us in the Mountains 75 miles from home, no cell service, did not know we didn’t have a spare!!! Next time we are calling Casey!!!!

  38. Bernadette Deiss on July 4, 2023 at 3:29 am

Why didn’t someone just locate a spare tire on a wheel and change the flat tire and drive home?

  39. Doug Norman on July 4, 2023 at 3:29 am

thows are great for doing repos

  40. Anne Cohen on July 4, 2023 at 3:30 am

Well done Casey! I can’t believe Gavin the mechanic wouldn’t pop the bonnet and boot to look at what he getting! Mind I drive interstate on my own. I need to know. Too funny. ❤️🇦🇺🇺🇸

  41. Bobby T on July 4, 2023 at 3:30 am

Awwww … I wanted to see you pick up Riley … and go do father stuff ..
Ended the video way too soon !!!

  42. takmot716 on July 4, 2023 at 3:31 am

Why is one of those sneaker bars looking bent??

  43. Amphihans on July 4, 2023 at 3:32 am

The ease you put your round peg into a square hole never stops amazing me. 🙂

  44. Max Ironpaw on July 4, 2023 at 3:34 am

I’d have driven that out on the rim. Light FWD vehicle like that; sacrifice a rim and done.

  45. America first in america on July 4, 2023 at 3:37 am

So cool buddy i like that

  46. Steve CX650T on July 4, 2023 at 3:37 am

Hi Casey, both dolly crossbars appear to be slightly bent ! Are they designed like that or have you ‘MODIFIED’ them ?

(Don’t know what happened to the word modified in first comment, so I’ve tried again) 👍

  47. RandomDude989 on July 4, 2023 at 3:38 am

So a mechanic bought a car and didn’t even check out if it had a spare? If it did, it’d probably be flat since he never bothered to look for one to begin with.

  48. Earn Wolfe on July 4, 2023 at 3:38 am

    Cmon lol

  49. Michal Howling on July 4, 2023 at 3:40 am

I definitely wouldn’t have taken a ride to warm springs…. I would have went towards sandy instead for sure. When I was younger I tried to skateboard at the skatepark in warm springs and within 5 minutes of being there the police came and told me I wasn’t welcome in that place. That was my second bad experience there. Hopefully he went straight to the casino.. I used to live in crr all the way out at the end of it. My favorite place ever.
