Wow you guys have it bad, where I’m from the trucks are relatively on time, this might be due to the fact that our trucks don’t have to travel across an entire state, just a dozen miles

I was called by the company that the truck was gonna be there in 45 minutes. 6 and a half hours later Iβve got 4 trucks one after the other with pissed off drivers cuz theyβve got places to be ππ. Keep in mind. Itβs during winter season, obviously everything was prepped for said weather, but we out there freezing with this wind chill once we got the call π. Gotta love it lol

I was once on a job where you could see the plant with binoculars. The plant dispatch told us that the concrete truck left 5 minutes ago.Not only had a truck not left the plant as we were 5 min from the plant, but there wasn’t even a truck at the plant to load up for about 30min π€¦π»ββοΈ
When I’m early or on time I can grab a nap while waiting on them. When I’m running late they are always early.

as an rodbuster, i can confirm this is accurate. had a truck show up an hour before we started. had to rush to get the rebar placed. then had one show up 10 mins after we left. company was not happy. neither was i. neither was the foreman. bad moods all around. got beer and pizza out of it though.

Concert trucks are worse than sparkys. Entire job site has to move their pickups because these idiots can’t figure out how to back up a straight truck. Throw a ton of attitude like they are the kings of the site.

As a cement mason it’s TRUE if the company is telling you what time its cuz they are late it’s best to have the driver him self tell you he is loading up and will be there in an hour
