Great video. I agree with you about the Toyota Corolla and Camry. I had a 1989 Corolla that ran without problems and my sister had one the same year and got 200k sold it to join the van mom’s. My neighbor down the street who’s pert near 90 if not already that age has been driving a mid nineties Toyota Camry 4 banger /cylinder since I moved here 20 years ago. It keeps going and going. I drive a 2005 Dodge Magnum R/T with the hemi and have done regular maintenance and spoil it with frequent oil changes and run premium gas in it. It’s almost 19 years old. It was built in October 2004. The engine runs smooth and has never given me a problem since I’ve owned it and I bought it in 2008. Preventative maintenance and interacting with the transmission etc can really make a vehicle and transmission last. I hate that all new vehicles have 8 or more speed transmissions. That’s a lot of gear changing and heat and potential failure. I keep the fuel saving technology disabled on my engine and set that shifter to 4th. Better power running on all 8 cylinders too. I did the same with my 98 Ram, I disabled over drive and kept it in 3rd gear. Better power and with both of my transmissions zero problems. Imagine a 10 speed shifting constantly in stop and go traffic. I’d lock out all but the first 4 gears. Less stress on the transmission not down and up shifting all the time. Runs cooler and last longer. I also change the transmission fluid in my vehicles regularly and again no problems. I’d never pay what they are asking for new vehicles and all the problems that go along with the electronics. I want a powerful engine and a transmission with no more than 4th. Screw fuel economy

Kia Telluride is a failed project. Recall after Recall. Fans can say what they want but the Highlander has proven its the superior vehicle by leaps and bounds. Consumer Reports has become a laughing Stock review program

THE SIDE NOTE (UPDATED) – Wow! Lots of comments directed at the channel because people don’t like this list (despite the thumbnail, title and intro of the video being EXTREMELY clear that this list is from Consumer Reports…not us)! So, let’s hear it….which ones did they get right and which ones did they get wrong? Is there a car that should have made the list? Everyone benefits from useful commentary and personal experiences so lets us know what you think!

Kia/Hyundai has many serious recalls over the last 5years …they did not fix the problems of the old Gen. and just made a new Gen. …..good luck with KIA/Hyundai pay your dime / take your chances car companies .

EV is still too new for my consideration. I like the concept but we need standards and better batteries. Not to mention charging stations everywhere.

  14. Bill Buchanan on July 20, 2023 at 4:13 am

I understand that the Nissan Leaf is a great EV until you go on a road trip and need to to find a Chademo charger. (Chademo is basically an obsolete standard.) The Chevrolet Bolt and Bolt EUV might be more practical choices, but are scheduled to end production soon.

Corolla hybrid under 25k here in Canada you can not have the cheapest Corolla under 25k

  18. alyankovsky on July 20, 2023 at 4:18 am

Kia/Hyundai like someone mentione still has many serious recalls with transmission failures and engines fire and still not fix yet. Kia and Hyundai still garbage with no reliability. Some vehicles sitting in the dealership under the warranty and can’t be fix . Dealer said open a lawsuit we don’t know how to fix it. 🤷‍♂️

Lose the robot voice. It really doesn’t get pronunciation and inflection right. You need a narrator who will pre-read the script to understand the writer’s intended emphasis, inflection, and intonation. It’s worth a few extra bucks to read it properly. The super corny scenes of human models are silly and distract from the message. I can’t imagine CU put their stamp of approval on this. It comes off as a thinly-veiled infomercial for the car companies.
