    Level 6 – Uber

  5. Leo G on January 24, 2023 at 7:57 am

That’s baf. Level 5 cars should have steering wheels and pedals. Sometimes you may want to drive the car on your own just for the pleasure or fun.

After driving my Kia Cadenza for about six months, I am happy with the DA features, but I foresee a very long curve ahead befor adoption of this technology becomes the norm. The main difficulty I see is the lack of readiness of our current highway systems, and the lack of maintenance and poor choices made by those who are in charge of spending our tax money wisely to make safe roads.
In my car, there is a camera to read the lines in front of the car to keep it between the lines, but so often lines just disappear from lack of maintenance and then I must take over myself for awhile. So my car is quite advanced and excellent, but my roads suck big time. Then there are the seasonal differences, such as no lines when it is snowing heavily or even after plowing when it isn’t done correctly.

I would like to have a self driving car like a Tesla. They’re perfect for people who can’t drive and for people who don’t like to drive, especially on certain roads like the turnpike, interstate and freeway. People don’t know how to drive. That’s why we need to have self driving cars now.

  9. Vishnu Prakash on January 24, 2023 at 8:07 am

    Lvl 5 cannot be made

  10. Big Bruh moment on January 24, 2023 at 8:07 am

    Basically
Level 0: only goes beep beep hoop next to a wall
Level 1: can slow down for safety based features + traffic aware cruise control
Level 2: very clever cruise control
Level 3: really dumb full self driving
Level 4: full self driving but like %90 of the time
Level 5: non existent taxi driver

  11. Fazlee Monty on January 24, 2023 at 8:08 am

Level 5 Autonomous = No driving license required…

  12. Vertexion on January 24, 2023 at 8:09 am

Level 6 : Car drives you

  13. Matthew Schutze on January 24, 2023 at 8:12 am

My car is a level 0

  14. Arne Schwarck on January 24, 2023 at 8:13 am

    have you heard of openpilot?

  15. Sinful Mawile on January 24, 2023 at 8:13 am

I’m comfortable with level 4, maybe level 3. As long as it can do highway with no traffic, some traffic or lots of traffic, thats what I need

  16. scott tang on January 24, 2023 at 8:15 am

Great content, thank you. I hope you could also discuss about the system on chip and other AI technology required for level 5 self driving. Is there any chip designed and commercially available for level 5 self driving ?

  17. Matthias Lee on January 24, 2023 at 8:16 am

Him: You probably have a level 0 car in your driveway.
    Me: TESLA

  18. Mercent Perrault on January 24, 2023 at 8:20 am

Now here’s where I’d like to add the fact that NFS players will mostly kill themselves before handing over control to an AI.
    Why you may ask?
    Good question.
Well, since all NFS players have at least a minimum of a decade of both onroad and off-road racing, they’re more than qualified to drive all the way from Los Angeles to Las Vegas than some recently launched AI.
Add the fact that most of these players grew up when Level 0 Cars were the norm, there is no chance an NFS player ( mostly born after 1999 ) will sit back and relax while he/she is in a car that’s driving itself.

  21. Sentient on January 24, 2023 at 8:21 am

Linus:Ford is making level 4 cars by 2021
    Tesla: We have done it

  22. liizzset on January 24, 2023 at 8:23 am

Watching this in February 2022. And the Ford thing kinda true. Love this video. Easy to understand the autonomous car levels. Actually, a supposed Level 5 car company named Zoosk got me back here. Well, they have created or working a new Level 5 autonomous vehicle. With the same name. Wanted to refresh and know more about the different levels.

  23. picky potato on January 24, 2023 at 8:23 am

Who else has a autodriven car in their driveway

  24. Dan Finkle on January 24, 2023 at 8:24 am

Not even gonna mention Tesla? Literally leading the way in autonomous driving.
8 cameras for 360 degree view, 12 sonar ,1 radar, GPS/Map, pedal/ steering wheel angle sensors. 250 million logic gates, 6 billion transistors in its A.I chip years ahead of the competition. Legacy automakers are scared and they should be.

  25. Account Name on January 24, 2023 at 8:24 am

I live driving my sports car but I hate time wasting situations like traffic jam, fueling, findings parking spot and parking etc. and I am be happy if in near future the car takes that over for me

  26. Mert S. on January 24, 2023 at 8:25 am

I closed the video at 13. second when that "meme" appeared, instant dislike. Bye.

  27. Sam P on January 24, 2023 at 8:27 am

Great description. I would like to watch a future techquikie video on how AI works

THey have Waymo Jaugar’s in San Franciso

  30. ej1033 on January 24, 2023 at 8:31 am

should have mentioned tesla because they are basically ahead of the race

  31. Clement Muhirwa on January 24, 2023 at 8:32 am

It is very hard to have a full self-driving car, if facebook can still be hacked today, imagine hackers being able to hack your car. In this case self driving cars would be a deadly weapons more than atomic bombs.

  32. Samuel kings on January 24, 2023 at 8:33 am

I have the 2020 Hyundai Sonata it’s at Level 2

  33. N Winkel on January 24, 2023 at 8:33 am

    YES DEFINITELY

  34. John Doug⚆_⚆ on January 24, 2023 at 8:35 am

Well even dough I have over 75K I’m still keeping my mini car ):<

  35. Hunter Leach on January 24, 2023 at 8:35 am

So, this is my opinion about this self-driving car thing, I think some level 5 cars should have optional steering wheels so you can override whenever you want to in case if you’re not comfortable with the self-driving car driving in some areas, you can go ahead and take over, that’s what I want the level 5 self-driving cars to have is an optional steering wheel and a optional override function in case if you want to take over

  36. Raghu Veer on January 24, 2023 at 8:36 am

Who else is here after hearing about Tesla’s level 5 autonomous car?

  37. User Userov on January 24, 2023 at 8:36 am

NVIDIA is on car business?! WHAT?!!

  38. rahul banerjee on January 24, 2023 at 8:36 am

A self-driving car is a car you drive yourself. 😂😂😂

  40. m HijoDeDiosMRM on January 24, 2023 at 8:39 am

My wife can see on a very limited basis. She is classified as legally blind due to macular degeneration. She doesn’t want to drive. I want to buy a self driving car for her in order to ease her transportation needs. We live about 4 miles from she works and about10 miles from our church. She won’t be doing any long distance highway traveling autonomously. She has to rely on buses, or the schedules of other people to get her where she wants to go. Based on your scale listed in this video, I think a level 2 or 3 would be fine for her. Do you know anything about the estimated costs for cars like this?

  41. wingedarr0w on January 24, 2023 at 8:40 am

Level 6, the car is fully autonomous, is partial to certain routes or driving maneuvers and has hopes and dreams.

  42. Danny Pope on January 24, 2023 at 8:40 am

How is it you never mentioned TESLA?!?!? google & Audi are so far behind.

  43. 0110rroberts on January 24, 2023 at 8:41 am

level 3 seems kind of dangerous, it’s like that transition point of safety.

  44. Steve smith on January 24, 2023 at 8:41 am

I have a 2018 Prius 4 and I have the Comma AI system…which makes it a level 2 system…..It steers itself along with the adaptive cruise control but I have to watch where it is going and it does monitor if I happen to fall asleep. It then warns me and beeps all over the place. It is the best of all worlds….I can drive if I want and let it steer when I am on the road…..and it works on any road….even ones without lines….it knows what a road is….the only problems with any of the systems is when it snows or ices up. The radar sensors when covered with ice DO NOT WORK. My Coma system cost $1200 and was well worth it. I have a friend who has a Tesla Model X with the self driving system and He prefers my Prius with the Comma system over his Tesla X system. He says that the Comma is more accurate and seems smoother with so many different situations. My Comma system is used about 85% of the time….almost 100% of the time when I am on the highways. It is amazing how much more relaxed I am when traveling long distances without having to steer and worry about speed.

  45. Mari Kujo on January 24, 2023 at 8:41 am

What do you think of a self driving cars? It will prevent more accidents from happening while there will be no joy to drive. So for a commuter car, there I don’t mind it, but for a fun weekend sports car, no thanks.

    Interesting. Thanks for uploading!

  47. Cubium on January 24, 2023 at 8:42 am

  48. Dragon Slayer36 on January 24, 2023 at 8:44 am

If my car just has automatic parking what level is it

  49. Ibrahim Hasan on January 24, 2023 at 8:45 am

2022 level 4 auto cars will be on streets. I think we will not see level 5 auto cars before 2027.

  50. Benjamin on January 24, 2023 at 8:46 am

Not even 1 mention to tesla. Not even a picture?
