  11. Kevin Z on September 8, 2023 at 9:01 pm

This is really funny to watch. This guy acts like he knows, but he seems clueless. Roll cage? Check engine light? The orange lever raises and lowers the seat/backrest/control handle 😂.

  12. Kevin's Rides on September 8, 2023 at 9:01 pm

That orange lever is to raise the whole seat and backrest, not just flip the seat up. The seat flips up just by pulling the seat up and to put the seat down there is a yellow lever under the center front of the seat you pull out and lift slightly on the seat then let the seat down. Pushing down on the orange lever unlocks the seat and backrest to then raise or lower to operator’s desired position. I drive a similar model from crown 12 to 14 hours a day every day for over 5 years now.

Hi, i’m Japanese and work as a forklift operator in an instant-noodles manufacturing factory here in Japan. I’m a foreigner, but let me leave a comment. I ‘ve watched your video because it came up in my recommended. This video is really instructive and your explanation is easy to understand. Thanks to you, I’ve learned a lot of things in this video, especially how to operate a reach truck in your country. That is because positions of steering wheel and levers for moving forks are completely different from those in Japan. There is no reach trucks here that you can operate while sitting down. Also, in my country, operators don’t have to use safety eye protection, but instead Japan’s safety rules stipulate that they have to wear a helmet whenever driving a forklift. I’ve found it interesting to learn differences in ways of operating a machine between your country and ours.Thank you so much for reading my lengthy comment in limited English.

  19. F4ceplant on September 8, 2023 at 9:12 pm

So… this is weird. And I’ve checked other video’s, too. Is there a difference between US and EU trucks when it comes to steering? The steering is the opposite of the reach trucks (or seated rider pallet trucks) I’ve used in the past. Not only Crown, but also Still, Jungheinrich and BT. I don’t understand why you would want to mirror the steering input.

  20. Jonathan Luis on September 8, 2023 at 9:15 pm

I’m glad our reach trucks aren’t inverted.

I’m a driver and trainer with these Crown reach trucks at my food warehouse..ours are definitely quieter than this one when moving forks forward or retracting..they were tricky to start off with and to train guys on but most catch on eventually..overall great teaching by this guy but at end ya didn’t have forks all the way against backrest and that isn’t proper SOP when driving around 😮

  25. Brandon Richey on September 8, 2023 at 9:23 pm

Why do they invert the stearing? It seems like it would be easier if it wasn’t. If theirs a good reason for it cool if not wtf then?

  26. jarrhead JA on September 8, 2023 at 9:23 pm

Good video but if I may add if it’s all about safety you should have them honk before they move twice too go forward 3 times too go backwards just to let Pedestrians know you plan on moving

  27. Juniorvice Reid on September 8, 2023 at 9:24 pm

Have my forklift certification but cant get any job cause i dont have experience. Can some one help me am in Canada

  28. GB1982 on September 8, 2023 at 9:26 pm

    Almost looks like Mclane Warehouse

  29. Brandon Clement on September 8, 2023 at 9:26 pm

As amazing as the crown reach trucks are I myself prefer the Raymond reach truck better. You have an actual wheel to use and the controls are all buttons on the drive handle.

  30. Anton West on September 8, 2023 at 9:26 pm

Yooo wdf i been driving reach truck for over 2 years now i never knew i could sit down on resch truck my reach trucks dont have that lever switch thingy lol

  31. Jonathan Garcia on September 8, 2023 at 9:26 pm

I’m baked, so I’m having a blast, learning how to work it. Lol.

I want to apply for Reach Truck Operator job with five years experience in warehouse Kuwait

  33. Daniel Daniels on September 8, 2023 at 9:27 pm

I have a year experience driving a Jungheinrich electric forklift at Amazon. Tomorrow I have an interview at a higher paying warehouse to operate one of these. This video was helpful, but I’m still really nervous.

  34. Game LP on September 8, 2023 at 9:29 pm

Crown is the best forfkliftmaker. We love them in germany. I drive the Crown ESR 1000

  35. Trahcei Wells on September 8, 2023 at 9:30 pm

Excellent information given very helpful for lots of lift truck operators in the industry ! 🎉

  36. Robert A. on September 8, 2023 at 9:30 pm

I have been driving a lift for 23 years….the first mistake in your video is driving a piece of SHIT Crown Lift….they are Trash….Raymond is a Real Lift….2nd All you are doing is Quoting from the Hand book…mostly a bunch of Un Practicle B.S…..Safety glasses can get in the way of your Periferal vision….in 23 years NOT ONE TIME has Anything come near my eyes….and then the Oldy but Goody…..Never drive Forks 1st….what a Crok of Shit….if in fact there were an accident and you did run into somebody with forks trailing and you pin them on a wall…100% you will crush them since you just hit them

  37. JustACzechoSlovakGuy on September 8, 2023 at 9:33 pm

These American reachtrucks are so wrong 😂

  38. CornOnDaJakob on September 8, 2023 at 9:33 pm

So wat are the arrows on the dash fr??

  41. melky Putra on September 8, 2023 at 9:35 pm

What worker that is for me?

  42. Robert A. on September 8, 2023 at 9:36 pm

Since you just hit them with a solid wall of steel….had you been driving forks first …the forks would hit the wall first leaving approx a 4 foot gap between the wall and the person…..sorry dude but your video is Terrible

  43. Judah Royal on September 8, 2023 at 9:37 pm

    Super helpful thank you!

I learned with crown forklifts but now I work for Mitsubishi and their reach truck are confusing for no reason at all, I miss crown reach truck so much lmao

  50. H.P. Lovecraft on September 8, 2023 at 9:45 pm

Definitely one of the trickiest pieces of equipment you could ever learn to use, but once you get it down they’re actually a blast to operate.
