Puebla: German cars made in Mexico | DW English

German carmakers like Audi and Volkswagen have been manufacturing in Mexico for decades. We follow one Mexican trainee as she prepares to enter the industry, which has been in uproar since the US threatened to impose high import tariffs on cars made in Mexico.

No wonder why my Audi’s keep on breaking. I highly doubt that QC in Mexico is even comparable to Germany’s or Austria.

You can see the Devotion in her face. Helping those that want to better themselves and provide for their family is Not and will NEVER be Taken from The Mexican Spirit. Walls, Fences, Jails and corruption Can’t stop an honest hard working man and women. Have you noticed how many young panhandlers there are, rather beg for money and if you offer them a job they decline btw They are not Mexican.

I love the shocked comments about Mexico producing high quality german cars. Mexico is a hugely diversified economy, Mexico manufactures electronics, aeronautic parts, cars, phones, etc. Mexico has the most free trade agreements on earth, and is one of the top producers of engineers. But all the world hears is "narco".

  28. @steveoatway7001 on January 17, 2024 at 10:19 am

I won’t buy most cars made in Mexico but not because of who made them but what they are made of. First of all understand that the Mexican workers are just as good as any properly trained worker in the world but they are exploited by all the foreign auto manufacturers in regards to wages, benefits and working conditions. The problem with automobiles made there is the quality of PARTS! Many parts are of a lesser quality including strength than Parts made in Europe, Japan, Canada or the United States. That is the problem! The corporations running the Mexican Plants import cheaply and poor quality made parts from other nations (think 3rd World) who pay their workers even less and use substandard materials. Do your research first before buying any car, new or used that was made in Mexico. As for the workers, they should all go on Strike like all exploited workers to demand better wages, benefits and conditions.

The Canacintra dude is full of it. He’s a political hack, a dumb one too. He’s brainwashed to fear "populism" (concept which Obama himself defended in Canada). He does not understand the ideological war going on and nationalists are winning for the most part. He wants to continue to root for the globalists who other than controlling the media are totally losing in important countries except Fance, while not even the the UK or the USA believe in neoliberalism anymore… which is this guys’ true ideology: Crony, corrupt capitalism.

  30. @Pterygotus on January 17, 2024 at 10:21 am

DWDocumentary, can we get a longer and more in depth documentary about Mexico’s automotive manufacturing industry across multiple cities… in 2020 Mexico produced 4 million cars for dozens of auto manufacturers worldwide; nearly double the number of cars built in the US that year. And yet no real documentaries exist about this incredible Mexican industry.

  31. @zev6452 on January 17, 2024 at 10:23 am

they work assembling a car (s) that they (workers) cannot afford…….life sucks being a Mexican under such corrupt narco government.
