My uncle bought a new "68 Thunderbird, and I was really impressed by the "clamshell" doors-very cool!

  11. Mount Nebo on March 25, 2023 at 8:38 pm

Mike, learned a lot watching the Pomona Swap Meet, and occasional classic car and I learned a lot about California entrepreneurs and their sadly deteriorated rust buckets. And to you I offer this advice; hold a little longer on the for sale signs, not worry about the illegible cratches via pen or pencil, and help us have more time to study the cars. Where I live I don’t have that option. Thanks and I’ll be back next year, The Good Lord willing.

  12. Travis Hackney on March 25, 2023 at 8:38 pm

    Those totally unrestored
They are wishful thinking on the price LOL

  13. James Matheson on March 25, 2023 at 8:40 pm

Leave it outside for a couple of years and all of the old patina will come back through, its a cool car and anything that Jim does now preserves it for the next guy.

  14. stude1953 on March 25, 2023 at 8:40 pm

    Nice video thanks for sharing

  15. Dead Dog on March 25, 2023 at 8:41 pm

All of these prices are way over common sense. the ones with the 5 digits should be about half the price. These are CRAZY PRICES!

  16. Matt Garrett on March 25, 2023 at 8:41 pm

Perpetual project syndrome at its best

  17. Robert Hirshfield on March 25, 2023 at 8:41 pm

  20. Travis Hackney on March 25, 2023 at 8:44 pm

The Chrysler imperial was far and above a better built car than the Cadillac and the Lincoln continental

  21. Travis Hackney on March 25, 2023 at 8:45 pm

When looking for an old car
Smart money deal is with the already restored
Because nobody ever gets all their money back

  22. Barrycuda on March 25, 2023 at 8:46 pm

Is it just me or are most of the project car prices unrealistic?

  23. Jay Smith on March 25, 2023 at 8:46 pm

Sad Obiden is trying to remove these old cars off the road. I love old cars but with what is going on these days I do not see these on the road years down the road. Seems California hates gas cars. These prices are crazy high.

  24. kdm71291 on March 25, 2023 at 8:48 pm

It appears that there are many that want a project…or, at least, it is assumed so!

  28. Drives & Details on March 25, 2023 at 8:52 pm

Geezus, I just bought a ‘46 Chevy pickup street rod similar to the truck at 42:18 which has a V8 and all new running gear and was 95% restored by the previous owner for $18k. Don’t shop in Pomona folks, unless you like getting taken advantage of.

  29. Craig Monteforte on March 25, 2023 at 8:53 pm

i’m thinking it was that VW Thing that was so unusually Customized mostly due to the Unusualness of it

I remember the Pomona Swap meet is where the old Drive in movie theater in 1989

  37. Travis Hackney on March 25, 2023 at 9:10 pm

You gotta really want some of these old cars to pay the price they are asking

  38. Travis Hackney on March 25, 2023 at 9:10 pm

Watched the whole video and the cars that were brought to the show on a trailer because it doesn’t run or even have an engine and the vehicle needs EVERYTHING the crazy prices makes me laugh
And the cars that were in good shape or that was restored had lower prices than the junk used to be a vehicles lol

Frank, MARCH 5 POMONA, you missed rarest of all cars, 2002 Canadian Chrysler Sebring, Lxi convertible, 300,000 km, driven to the swap meet, 3,000 km one way, with a 427 hemi, dual Quads, in the trunk, my grand children did the install, I am 93 in July, bought the car new, very poor on gas. Wish I had known you were at the swap meet, my children would have enjoyed a clip, if you found the car interesting. Photo attached. Known locally at HELLCAT KILLER.
