MODULAR CARS | Update 2021 | RUST Guide | Step by Step

So in this video we go through the modular cars update in Rust. I made a video on Modular cars a few months back but this is the updated 2021 version that goes into a bit more detail. We will go through how you get the 2 modular chassis, the 3 modular chassis and finally the mother of all, 4 modular chassis. I will show you a guide on how to set up the modular car electric ramp, wire it up and get a modular car onto it ready for you to start building your pride and joy.

We will go through the armoured modules, the dedicated engine, 18 slot storage module, the fuel tanker module, and the taxi module.

The minimum you need for a working vehicle is a cockpit and an engine. Some cockpits come with engines fitted however some will need the dedicated component.

Remember in Rust, to get an engine working you will need a few components to fit before the engine will even start. These include the spark plugs, carburettor, valves, pistons and crank shaft. they come in 3 quality settings, low, medium and high. Low gives 70%, medium gives 85% and high quality engine components will give you the maximum 100%.

do you find the other modules or does the ramp just let you select what ever mod you want? where do you find them?

Is it true modules are damaged more when driving off-road (even without hitting obstacles)?
Can players stand on storage modules while driving? Seems more efficient than flatbed modules.
Have you tested what happens when you have two or more driver modules and players fight for steering control?

Tip: If you want to push a broken chassis back to base, make sure a friend sits in the driver seat and steers it, or quickly jump in and try to steer it yourself, otherwise you can only push it back and forth (pointless endeavor).

Finally, love your accent, think I’ll try subbing to your channel. Content was good!

I was wondering if what car is the strongest uphills? I live on a hill atm in Rust, and which modules should I go for then? The fastest(and probably strongest) just means I got no control and will probably crash in every tree around..

can you build a 4 module car with a single cabin with engine and 3 more engines?

    Loved the Video
Can you make a video on sharing power or how far can you send power from one place to another

One tip I will give is to almost exclusively never use the armored cockpit. The negatives far outweigh the protection it gives. Standard cockpits already come with glass and can protect you from an okay chunk of bullets if you happen to run into someone. Also, the fuel economy and top speed are massively worse with the armored cockpit. A trip that takes 60 low grade armored takes like 4 low grade unarmored and since the top speed is so much quicker unarmored, you can actually manage to off-road some areas and leave anyone in the dust before they get much of a chance to pull out their gun and shoot you whereas the armored cockpit gives anyone you drive by a good 10 seconds to prepare an ambush if they see you coming.

Glad to see you’re finally hitting the youtube algorithmn. Happy for you, you definitely deserve it because you’ve been doing it for such a long time. On the other hand, i don’t understand why some rando hit the yt algo and in a month went from 0 to 15k subs and is getting 70k views every day….smh

I’m aware of all of this but I watched anyways. I like to use the cars alot like the old helis, super disposable. I usually won’t lock em and I don’t save em. The parts are really cheap to learn and make and fairly easy to find. I will buy one tier 3 part and that will usually be enough to give the car a good boost. Of course there are times I build a garage and if I do it’s usually a 3 by 4 so I can have a double entrance in the front and a half wall higher walls so I can add shotgun traps to the entrance.

Where do you find higher quality car components?

Idk if it’s just me but where are the time stamps?

For general usage, I’d recommend having a car that has at least the cockpit with the built in engine (For part simplicity) and one storage unit for loot/raid runs. I tend to run either a two slot with just those or a four slot with the cockpit, two storage crates and an additional engine.
