I thought Vegas was famous for breaking people’s kneecaps when they stole money

Teddy was the owner. Does anyone know his last name? He also walked around in a military uniform.

  3. ID10T on April 23, 2022 at 10:19 pm

Who is the owner of the business??

  4. Herman Rogers on April 23, 2022 at 10:21 pm

This is why I never leave my car at the mechanic shop because they say they are not responsible for any damage so if I have to leave my car I will be there the morning and evening and noon the next day every day until the work is completed

I’m scared to take my car to any repair shop in Vegas. Most of them will take your money and do absolutely nothing to your car, Or mess it up and blame you. Including dealerships.

Absolutely terrible. Mechanics and auto shops already get a bad wrap due to overpricing and general sleazeball activity. I really hope they find owners.

  23. Em R on April 23, 2022 at 10:47 pm

My husband and I paid them over a grand to fix our hummer. Stuff kept breaking after they fixed it. We were told the parts were on order, ect., ect. for MONTHS. We were told to show up on certain days but when we showed up, there was hand written notes on the door saying ‘closed for the day’. Once day we showed up and the mechanic showed up but no one else showed up to open the shop. The mechanic called his boss and was told to go home for the day – even though we were standing there with him for a scheduled appt. Then we were told the owner got into a bad motorcycle accident. Parts start falling off my car while I was driving in traffic. There was times when I would go sit in this shop for HOURS and I would tell them ‘I brought a jacket and a charger so I’ll be here as long as you need to work on my car ‘. I sat there 5 hrs one day because they told me we will fix it today but later. When I chose to wait, they found someone to work on it immediately. Another time, I sat in this shop for almost 8 hrs till I saw them fix my car with my own eyes. Months later, it’s still not fixed completely buttt … no more shop. The people that paid up front were the people that got a loan using a company that was partnered with them. The loan pays for your car to be fixed and you pay the other company the loan back. I had been going to this shop for YEARS with no issue. I had been going there since 2016 with my Jeep. The guy who did this was the NEW owner of the mechanic shop who had just bought the shop in the last year or so. I’ve never had any problems with this shop before and some of the mechanics from before still worked there. They were amazing at their jobs. Most of the issues started when the owner got into a motorcycle accident early this year and was in a coma for a couple months (from what I was told). He didn’t tell anyone working at the shop what he arranged with the customers personally or what parts he ordered. They literally had no clue what to do, or what parts were or weren’t ordered. The new ‘manager’ was a young person who had never managed a shop before and started giving everyone the owner’s personal phone number to call him. The owner left no one with the knowledge to continue the business and work with the customers in an efficient manor or make financial decisions if something happened to him. By the way, I got it in writing every single time I went in here what was to be done to my car. What was done, what had to be done over, what still needed to be done, what was to be warranted out cause the parts failed/ broke ect. At times they only had one mechanic working there the whole day, sometimes no mechanic. Sometimes they had people to do a complete system check, other times they had people who didn’t know what they were doing trying to fix it with another mechanic giving them verbal directions. It was a mess at the end.
Side note – I will say that they had lots of cars sitting on this lot for the mechanic shop for a long time. They took up most of the parking spots for this shop. Some of those cars were sitting there before the new owner even bought the shop (over a year). I always wondered why anyone would leave their car at someone’s shop for well over a year, then come complain that it wasn’t fixed. A couple days – yea ; a week – yea ; a couple weeks – you’re pushing it ; a month – we now have a huge problem and I’m getting a lawyer. IJS.

  34. Mr Mopar on April 23, 2022 at 11:00 pm

Most auto repair businesses in Vegas are scammers or just incompetent, I would fix it myself or take your car to another city to fix.

  35. Scrapcash2 on April 23, 2022 at 11:01 pm

Seriously? Had an A/C issue, and you wern’t banging on their door by the end of the day? Don’t feel bad for you! Lost 3 jobs my a**. Every time I take my car in, they do the repair, then you pay them for it. Who the hell gives a mechanic money up front? Only stupid people get ripped off!!

  39. Fashion Diva on April 23, 2022 at 11:05 pm

Friendly legal advice for anyone who’s been defrauded by this repair shop: file a police report with LV Metro ASAP. This is criminal theft. You need to pursue both civil and criminal penalties/remedies against the owner. It’s likely the owner is “judgment-proof” (aka bankrupt), meaning that if you prevail in court (which anyone who paid and received nothing in return would; the owner is also unlikely to appear in court meaning you can obtain a default judgment provided you submit sufficient evidence to the court to substantiate your claim), the defendant has no assets to pay the damages you’re awarded in the suit. If the defendant fails to pay, you can pursue and assert a lien against their assets and income; depending how they structured their business you may be able to place that lien on their personal assets as well. But the only way to hold scum like this accountable is to report them to the Attorney General’s Office and file a police report. If there are enough reports filed with Metro, they’ll be less likely to dismiss it with the typical lazy response of “it’s a civil matter.” Because it’s not; it’s a calculated scheme to defraud citizens of Las Vegas that has unjustly enriched the criminal, possibly in an amount exceeding half a million dollars. This may not make you financially whole but getting some measure of justice can help ease the seething rage and helplessness you feel as a fraud victim.

The single mother of six yeah you’re not gonna be able to afford anything in life even if your car was repaired and you got it back. When are women going to realize that having tons of babies with no daddy is going to leave them poor I don’t feel bad for her I think she got her karma back after ripping off welfare for years

  50. Amber on April 23, 2022 at 11:14 pm

The Landlord doesn’t have any liability for what the business did to customers. If the landlord gives out the business’s personal information that isn’t public he can be sued. The landlord has to sue the business for his past rent, and the customers have to sue the business for their missing cars, parts, pain, and suffering, etc. Terrible story.
