In late 2022, Mattel released the third wave of Racing 2-Packs that include six accessory pieces. The third wave consists of Lightning McQueen and Strip Weathers aka “The King” and Fabulous Lightning McQueen and Dinoco Cruz Ramirez. All of which include two cones, two themed flags and two themed collector cards. These packs are exclusive to USA Walmart stores and sell for $12.97.

Great tear down on these packs 😂 Mattel is definitely letting more mistakes slip, especially on that poor Fabulous Lightning McQueen… that gash of silver looks disgusting.
On another note, I also like Thailand Dinoco Cruz. The metallic paint looks smoother from Thailand, makes it pop a bit more imo. Definitely the best Thailand variant among those four!

I bought the Two pack with Cruz and McQueen from COTR and McQueen was all beat up as if he was used but Cruz was all good but I didn’t care for McQueen so I customized him

Lionel and Mattel really do have a thing in common for crappy quality control. Also, nice solid 2 packs with the accessories although I wish it comes with the stand piece to place the collector card in like the old ones and I also wish they were a better material. And wow, those quality control issues on FLM and Dinoco Cruz really question what’s going on in the factory?

I agree that the quality control is doing a bang-up job, but I wouldn’t mind that much, since it’s actually a pretty easy fix (for Fabulous McQueen, that is)

I really like the McQueen/King pack. It opens the door for many more possibilities of accessory 2-packs, and I’d like to see what the future has in store for them (if anything).
