Is the 2022 Kia Sorento SX Prestige a BETTER luxury SUV than a Mazda CX-9?

The Sorento is bringing big things with the SX Prestige for 2022. On the outside Kia gives you full LED lighting, 20in wheels, and special paint. On the inside the SX Prestige brings high end materials, large infotainment system, and a panoramic sunroof. Under the hood is a 2.5L turbocharged inline-4 that produces 281HP & mated to an 8-speed DCT with AWD. Is the 2022 Kia Sorento SX Prestige a BETTER luxury SUV than a Mazda CX-9?

Am I the only odd ball here that is not fond of the wolf gray color? I so love the gravity gray. I am about to buy one (Today) but not sure I can find one in the gravity gray, the only color out there in a 500 mile radius is either wolf gray or black… I will take the black….

The Answer NO! It’s a Kia. Them and Hyundai will have severe engine rattle at 45k miles and a multitude of other issues.

  6. MelvinDlaCruz on January 31, 2023 at 9:02 am

Dont see any point on getting this, just get the kia telluride

What about reliability. I’ve never had one issue with Honda but this is hard to ignore

Excellent video. Only dislike are the 2nd row Captain Chairs.

  10. Brian Wright on January 31, 2023 at 9:05 am

Love the videos, but are we ever going to see a 2023 Sorento?? I saw the 2023 Sorento Hybrid.

  13. Bryan Chance on January 31, 2023 at 9:11 am

Wow..I have never thought of owning a Kia until now. Very nice and 10k less than comparable competitor.

  14. Eric on January 31, 2023 at 9:12 am

I had a 2001 Sportage for a while, then a 2010 Soul. Had them because they were cheap. KIA is looking solid these days. Might have to get another one.

  15. Dan Sutton on January 31, 2023 at 9:14 am

I am have been shopping for some time in the mid to compact suv segment. My wife and I are mid 70s but very far and quality conscious. For price, quality, and innovation I am concentrating on KIAs: 23 Sportage or Sorento hands down. I had owned American for many years in spite of grandson working for Toyota. Love those Raiti’s Rides! Thanks! Dan in east Kansas. Daughter/Son-in law have new Telluride and 23 Sportage and LOVE them!

I love my 2022 Sorrento, has been amazing so far and I feel very comfortable because of Kia’s 100,000 powertrain warranty!

Okay did anyone notice that the front end looks better than the new 2023 Rx Lexus SUV ? 🤔

  21. BEN DIESEL on January 31, 2023 at 9:24 am

Kia is killing it. 42k for this suv is priced very very well.

  22. Dawaanda on January 31, 2023 at 9:26 am

    im getting this

  23. Midlife Mom on January 31, 2023 at 9:27 am

At least there’s arm rest compared to othets without. No 3rd row a/c vents?!

  24. Addi Teacha on January 31, 2023 at 9:27 am

Negative. Mazda forever but let me check this Kia out as Kia was on my radar before getting the CX9 Signature

  25. Julius Manabat on January 31, 2023 at 9:30 am

Aside from the awkward "Makeout Ridge", making babies, and kids you don’t like so much discussions, pretty thorough discussion of what we actually came her for.

  26. Rirchard Rubio on January 31, 2023 at 9:30 am

I have a Question, is a Sorento like this a Man vehicle?
I like it but just want to know?

  27. TRISMUSIK on January 31, 2023 at 9:32 am

Love the masculine design. More companies need to design cars with a more masculine design. They just look better. The Arby’s talk was classic Raiti’s Rides comedy 🤣🤣

  28. Oga Kemmy on January 31, 2023 at 9:34 am

OMG I WANT TO GET THIS!

  29. cornbreadsbest on January 31, 2023 at 9:34 am

  30. bhentehquatroh1 on January 31, 2023 at 9:36 am

The only thing I was dissapointed about this video is that they cut off the trunk space portion of the video and how big it would be when you bring the 3rd row down. The video went straight to the driving of the car. Otherwise, I love the car and this specific colour and trim. A little pricey for me but I am seriously considering this to replace my 2015 RDX.

  31. Rafal on January 31, 2023 at 9:36 am

I’ll take Mazda any day can’t go wrong with Japanese also driving dynamic are unmatched also not crazy about all those screens image if it cracks you have to replace the whole thing

  32. Tim Collins on January 31, 2023 at 9:39 am

Yes I would but definitely not thar color!

  39. Mahmoud Dwaik on January 31, 2023 at 9:45 am

  41. Sir Casm on January 31, 2023 at 9:47 am

Kia’s reliability has absolutely tanked. Mazdas reliability has continued to improve.

Love your work. Humor and well thought out info.
However it’s very frustrating I want to move with the times and get at least a hybrid or PHEV however this colour isn’t available? I keep my vehicles 10 years plus. Irritating to really want a color you can’t have in a hybrid or PHEV

  46. Dawaanda on January 31, 2023 at 9:56 am

    lol hes funny

  48. عبدالرحمن اركان on January 31, 2023 at 9:57 am

The V6 engine is much better because less problems and more reliable than the turbo engines

  49. sbatncpl on January 31, 2023 at 9:58 am

KIA is not knocking it out of the park. Their stuff is trash … all of the jilted owners who are "eating" their junk Kia engines. NOPE. If they get their act together I could consider them, but its going to take them taking responsibility for their trash engines.

Love the car wireless connection will be a different thing I’m not use to but it’s not the worst. But I know some might like the way back seats being short but when I was kid going on 6-8-9 hour road trips and such I actually found it more comfortable since I was the only one back there and being able rearrange all the stuff we were bring in the back as well so I enjoy it as long as kids back they’re aren’t using car seats and maybe some buster seats I don’t think it’s so bad.
