362000 miles on my 2008 Ram 1500 5.7 untouched Scotty

  2. Robert Karp on May 26, 2022 at 12:21 pm

Then you recently posted a video saying you just bought a Dodge RAM, fact is I have a 1998 Dodge Truck, I just recently replaced the motor a few months ago because after 22 years, the head gasket started to leak into the #5 cylinder, the mechanic said it was cheaper to just replace the motor, rather than rebuild the old one. However 22 years and that same engine still passing California Smog inspection. Can’t complain about that.

  3. RYLA'S RANCH on May 26, 2022 at 12:21 pm

I agree number one F-150 I’ve had one for 10 years and other than oil changes nothing major has had to be replaced

  4. O. C. on May 26, 2022 at 12:21 pm

Who cares about gas mileage in trucks? Get a damn tiny car if you want mileage

  5. Thomas Feltes on May 26, 2022 at 12:23 pm

F-150 Coyote 5.0 V8 best production engine made

  6. bobbg on May 26, 2022 at 12:24 pm

Dodge had massive recalls on electrical problems on the late 90s and 2000 trucks.

  7. bobbg on May 26, 2022 at 12:27 pm

Omg he didn’t even say the Honda.

  8. Mike Layton on May 26, 2022 at 12:27 pm

Well Scotty, I’ve had 4 Ram 1500 trucks 2003 to date and driven them all to 150k miles no problems what do you say about that?

  9. Robert T on May 26, 2022 at 12:28 pm

Family member was driving down the road on a very cold winter day, hit a small chunk (4-6”) of ice broke the front axel. Sheared it clean. Zero damage to the frame or body.

  10. Ryan Rose on May 26, 2022 at 12:29 pm

This is where we’ll have to agree to disagree. The wife and I test drove all of these over the last few weeks and the F-150 was our last choice. Everything inside and out felt cheap and half assed compared to the others.

  11. Esjesus /prof yes on May 26, 2022 at 12:32 pm

I’m trying to buy a new truck which ford you recommend, I deal with Landscape every day

  12. john gaddy on May 26, 2022 at 12:35 pm

Bull nothing wrong with the truck its the driver

  13. bobbg on May 26, 2022 at 12:35 pm

Scott, the Nissan titen was a pile of junk like the ram.

  14. James Benoit on May 26, 2022 at 12:36 pm

Real story about Tundra, Scotty. On a busy Saturday at the Ford store in Austin, Texas we just put the first all new F-150 on the floor. 4×4, Supercab, awesome. Two suit guys show up about 10:00 – Toyota factory guys. Before they left with the new 150 (sticker deal), wasn’t my deal, I respectfully asked "what are you all going to do with the F-150?"
Toyota guy says "take it back to San Antonio and take it completely, totally apart, study it, in anticipation of the new full size pickup." And, they did.

  15. Shaun Safety on May 26, 2022 at 12:37 pm

Dodge is the only truck manufacturer that knows how to make a comfortable seat and roomy cab with nice console storage and cup holders and cab comfort. It’s really a shame the dashes crack and fall apart and other problems Scotty mentions. Dodge for years has the most payload and tow capacity. If you ask me all the pros of Ram trucks outweigh them falling apart. Rams are simply the best truck for heavy duty work. That’s my contrasting opinion.

  16. Nicholas Doucette on May 26, 2022 at 12:38 pm

Have to disagree I got 2 97 k1500s one has 900000 klm and the other has 450000 klms both run strong. And both didn’t cost me more than 5k total in the twenty years I’ve had them one the road.

  17. Kamren Apelskog on May 26, 2022 at 12:39 pm

I’m actually offended by this. My 2007 Silverado classic was still running like a rock when I traded it in 2020.

  18. TevisPhotographic on May 26, 2022 at 12:39 pm

2007 nissan titan… 260000 = 1 starter motor, 1 radiator, 3 brake jobs, 1 ac line. the F150 it replaced was having major issues at 90000

  19. hayden Westhaver on May 26, 2022 at 12:40 pm

    i have a 5.2 magnum 95

  20. IMMPOSTER on May 26, 2022 at 12:40 pm

My question…how do you feel about cam phazers in the Fords? Is it only the v6 or is it also the v8? I’m looking to buy a truck for hauling my 40’ camper.

  21. Joey Zasa on May 26, 2022 at 12:41 pm

Funny how Scotty failed to mention the horrible gas mileage the Tundra gets. (with the 5.7 liter) Or the fact that Ford is bottom of the list in terms of reliability. More recalls then any other brand. Look it up.

  22. David Lopez on May 26, 2022 at 12:42 pm

I agree that my ram is a pos, but I’m getting 18 MPG average through Los Angeles traffic with a 2-in lift on 33’s, I also have about 500 lb worth of tools and equipment always in the bed, the only thing I do is run 91

  23. Nathan McCloskey on May 26, 2022 at 12:42 pm

This guy walks everywhere, I can tell with all the amphetamines he’s on.

  24. Mike Layton on May 26, 2022 at 12:42 pm

    if you even answer…

  25. james lyman on May 26, 2022 at 12:43 pm

I bought a new F150 XLT. Worse transmission I ever had in a truck. Time to dump this junk, Ford can not solve the problems with it.

  26. Hamilton Terrell III on May 26, 2022 at 12:44 pm

my dodge ram 1500 did not last 2months it was that bad

  27. BillDewall75 on May 26, 2022 at 12:51 pm

Never had worse issues than my 96 gmc Sierra 1500..

  28. Sean Hammer on May 26, 2022 at 12:54 pm

Have a 2001 Dodge Ram Van with a 5.2/318 motor. 215k miles still going strong. I drove a Dodge Charger with 350 Hemi from Houston to central NM and back. It was getting 32mpg on the hiway in 4cyl/efficiency mode.

  29. Steve Zeller on May 26, 2022 at 12:55 pm

My 2005 Cummins Turbo Diesel gets 21 mpg, 325hp and 610 ft lbs torque. Got it used in 2012 for 25,000$ Remember, Hemming’ s Motor News said the Cummins was one of the ten best engines made.

  30. Richard Karp on May 26, 2022 at 12:55 pm

Scott, I have a 2021 F250 super duty with 7.3 L gas engine. The 10 speed transmission slips and Ford tells me that’s normal.. what do you say

  31. Stephen Baker on May 26, 2022 at 12:58 pm

Rating a Nissan Titan higher than Chevy or RAM. Try again. Rankings by most reviewers 1-RAM, 2-Chevy, 3-Tundra, 4-FORD, 5-Titan. The origianl Tundra had their frames rust out in 2 years. You won’t find many on the road.

  32. frnkjones40 on May 26, 2022 at 12:58 pm

The best pickup is a Ram 2500 with a 6.7 Cummins.

  33. Eric H on May 26, 2022 at 12:59 pm

I don’t know anyone that hates their Dodge/Ram. My 06 has 260,000 miles and the engine is like new. Original transmission is still pulling trailers fine. I’ve replace lots of small crap, alternators, AC parts but this truck is solid. I’ll never sell it. That said, I’m psycho about maintaining vehicles.

  34. fawnl liebowitz on May 26, 2022 at 12:59 pm

Owned all the big 3 several times over. Worst was a new 83 F150 stamped front end they could not align, best a 16 Ram, love that truck. Also liked the GMC but not as well as the Ram.

  35. Danny Johnson on May 26, 2022 at 1:00 pm

Sure you drive me crazy moving your arms around, can you please stop

  36. Arturas Statkus on May 26, 2022 at 1:01 pm

    Thank You,Sir.

  37. RC_Hoov on May 26, 2022 at 1:01 pm

My 19 Ram 1500 has been very good so far. Borderline excellent, but there was a warranty repair for a shift motor in the new model transfer case.

  38. Tommy Crowsey on May 26, 2022 at 1:02 pm

All the Dodgers I’ve had it went 300,000 miles or better I think he’s is prejudiced I would not own a Toyota you can’t haul s*** in them

  39. Curtis Williams on May 26, 2022 at 1:04 pm

The ford had a engine 5.4 triton that engine is a terrible design according to the research i been doing. They constantly have top end motor issues in the cam heads, and cam phasers.

  40. Johnatan Peña on May 26, 2022 at 1:05 pm

To me Nissan Titan is the most underrated truck I’m glad to hear Scotty has it in number 3 out of 5. I own a first generation Titan almost 1/2 a million miles on this baby, never visited the mechanic with any problems until just recently. It’s an 06 an I’ve owned it since 2013. She’s a beast.

  41. Debbie Stinnett on May 26, 2022 at 1:06 pm

I agree. Love the look. But they can’t compare to a chevy. Terrible gas hogs.

  42. Linda Lakota on May 26, 2022 at 1:08 pm

Late 90s and erly 2000s those f150s where garbage i have had nothing but trouble with all fords the exaust manafolds were garbage you cant fund a 99f150 on the road today

  43. Linda Lakota on May 26, 2022 at 1:09 pm

I know guys who baby dodge pick-up trucks garaged and are rotted out and ride like junk

I’ve had my 2009 Dodge Ram Sport 2WD since new and haven’t done anything more than the routine fluids and filter changes, two sets of tires, one set of brakes and that’s it. No problems to report whatsoever!….I’ve got almost 200K miles on it and used for towing regularly. Good thing it has the Lifetime Warranty on it, as I plan on keeping it my entire life!

  47. James Benoit on May 26, 2022 at 1:12 pm

Longtime Ford sales guy/manager. Ford has had its misses, but here in TEXAS, we dominated the other guys. Don’t even mention Toyota or Nissan full-size. Stop.

  48. Johnny Monks on May 26, 2022 at 1:14 pm

    Ford is the worst lol.
