So now they only wanna honor one vehicle not the other because I only have one RMA number but yeah I paid for both can you help me out?
Hi , my son took the car for a bumper repair just the bumper and ended they ended up taking the whole original engine out and replace it with another engine that doesn’t match the vin number and who knows what more they took out . Can you give any advice. Will really appreciate.

I done body and paint work for 20 years . I get them in and out in two days some jobs in a day . Always get the adjacent part blended

Great video Scotty. My family loves watching you. My son does the most. My son has been detailing cars for a long time, and he can say paint code 1E7 silver streak mica on a Toyota Matrix is the most durable he’s seen on a car. His matrix hadn’t been waxed for 14 years, and it still shined really well. And he also said he’s never seen a silver 2003-2008 Toyota Matrix with clear coat failure.

Okay only thing you’re wrong about is that bumper and fender or bumper to quarter will be impossible to match because of the quality of the material

Also body shops get more business than service shops and make more revenue
Bumpers will always have a slight difference in color no matter what you do….most people never notice but it’s like that from factory
There’s a body shop in Montreal Quebec called nantons body shop I went to see this place I met the owner he quoted me a price of $1,400 for one side of the car a scratch line on the drivers side my color is red my dealership said $4,200 to do the job that’s Toyota.

insurance companies are a scam!! and yet its a law to have it?? fxck this country!! you pay all this money every month and never need it unless you get in a wreck and then you have to jump thru hoops to get paid/. and they never pay enough. and they total out your car for bullshyt reasons.. like hail damage…. fxck nsurance!
Lotta dealerships are thief’s Lexus dealership told me I need a transmission $8700 I had my friend checked my transmission it was low on fluid, we added fluid and no more transmission issues
I would stick to the mechanic advice . No bumpers match even on new cars . Nobody notices it till you paint one. Bumpers use the same paint as hoods and I have done this for 20 years!
I’m so glad Scotty’s in my head when I’m shopping for a body shop or a mechanic.

scotty needs to do a little more reseach before he tells people how to do autobody work,you don’t need a spray booth to turn out a good paint job,also its the same paint,to paint plastic bumber covers as it is to paint the rest of the car,its called automotive paint

This guy is very uneducated on the topic. The same paint that’s in the hood goes on the bumper. This guys a joke
Toyota bumpers and sheet metal paint fades at different rates, after 6 years the bumpers that matched when new no longer match, it’s not just Toyota but it’s always noticeable except maybe navy and black on Toyota.
If you want it done right, Do it yourself!
This is a terrible video Scotty. There is no special paint on plastic parts there are additives. That car that he was talking about the bumper appears as though it was damaged in a fender bender.
Build your own electric vehicle that can go 20 miles a hour and don’t worry about getting someone else to fix it
Color match is different depending on materials being painted what you see with matched bumper paint is just a blending illusion. Also bumpers get painted with the same paint haha. I mean there is plastic adhesion promoter you can use prior to paint but the paint is the same you dunce
Sorry to tell you but plastic bumpers are not 100% matching pieces please inform yourself before making accusations and wanting likes on your scam videos

Bumpers usually never match anyways even from factory
It’s hard to get plastic to match metal, and if you don’t use the exact same paint as was used originally, the car could fade quicker than the bumper causing that color shade difference.
And Toyota is notorious for having bad clearcoat for years. rock chips on other cars that wouldn’t go through the clear go all the way to the metal on a Toyota.
Good advice bout going on line for a body shop. I .(almost ) went with dealers suggestion of a body shop ,but read their comments ,1st. 1-4 comments for all bad . Buddy told me of one ,he used ,read their comments . 1-5 were all good. Called them to pick my car up ,B 4 claims got theirs hands on it .
There isn’t a different paint that goes onto plastic, it’s the same paint that goes on the whole car, plastics require an adhesion promoter before painting, not different paint.
Please don’t listen to this guy’s advice and embarass yourself repeating what he says !!
