How to make 3d printed car parts – Auxbeam switch panel
I designed, 3d printed, sanded, painted and installed an OEM+ quality trim to mount an Auxbeam 8 gang control panel into my Nissan Frontier. Production is still a while away on these but I do have 3d files ready for download if you want to make it yourself.

This gave me a lot of inspiration to get goin on a custom cubby mount for my ktuner. Great video!
Great vid man 👍
you seem to know how to do this thats amazing
Great video. Could you do a video on how to make the tabs?
Wow cool projekt 👌
I know, it’s too late, but I would definitively rotate it a bit(approx. 30 deg.) to a driver’s side for better acces.15d
Your cad skills are incredible man.
Looking good. Amazing how some videos get huge numbers of views! Subscribed amd will catch up on some ofher videos. Im planning a roof console build in my 51 GMC.
Wish I could design stuff like this lol, I made a rectangle box and still had to cut parts down to fit 😅
This is not a “how to”. I was hoping to learn more than what you provided.
It’s a cool video and interested in the product. Definitely entertaining but not a how to as you didn’t directly teach me anything. So that’s a little misleading. Now if you titled it “I made a”, that would be a lot more accurate.
Love everything about this. Best of luck with the sales!
Very nice work!!! Amazing what can be done with at home 3d printing these days.
What is your etsy?
Wow! Impressive. Looks great!
Never thought about an JB Weld overlay. Might have to try that.
That looks really good! Thanks for the video documenting your process. 😊😊🔥🔥
Will this work with 22 Frontier?
Hi, am interested in a building a frame for 6gang Auxbeam, to fit underneath the ashtray. The car is a Toyota Hilux/VW Taro 1988-1997 model. Can you help me? Thank you
Действительно нужное применение 3 д’принтера. 👏
hey there, just came across this video a year & change after it was posted …. any word on production availability? Would love to get one of these!
I just hope this is not PLA
What type of filler did you use to smooth the surface after the printing?
I need this done to a 2016 outlander to be able to mount a Kicker KX remote.
seamless nice integration!
Great video!! Thank you for your efforts.
Nice design and work!
Молодец, очень аккуратная работа! Привет из Владивостока😊
That looks awesome! Minor comment, you said taller folks might have more interference… I would have thought a shorter driver can see better since the mirror would be angled down.
cool!
Very nice!
This really does show how 3D printing enables rapid prototypes and iterative development. Great job. Do you have a video on the 3d scanning with reference dots?
this is where truly 3d printing shines.
What primer and paint do you use to fill in layer lines?
Excellent job!
The work is well-engineered ..nice
amazing skills with perfect result.
That’s beautiful
damn i need that on my ram
This could be a very lucrative business venture for you!
What filament are you using?
are you available for higher? ive got a similar idea, and a mirror housing i need 3d scanned and flipped so i can also use it on the left side. let me know if you are interested. im sure we can work something out
WoW! incredible engineering. Truely a work of art!

Hi, how were you able to scan the dome panel into Fusion360?
Good work.
Dang!!! I am in Boise. I would love to chop it up with you and see what we can come up with for Ford Excursions.
What Material did you use to print this? and what 3D scanner and program are you using?
Wow, that paint and texture looked like a factory piece when I saw it on the rag as you assembled it (still waiting to see in the car on the video), but damn that’s looking good so far!!!
EDIT: And holy crap!!! That looks amazing!! Did you use the textured paint to get that finish? How did you get that factory texture finish?? I wonder if there is a way to get that in Fusion or something and add that to the print. Just tiny "bumps" to match factory, so your print detail would have to be super fine. but would be awesome to print factory style finished parts!
Nice work!
can you make a center console for a nissan titan 07 the molding that goes around the screen unit.. and if you can, how much it would be?
