Get a ubox instead, cheaper, less headache.

  3. pileonthewoman3 on December 9, 2022 at 12:43 am

It’s cheaper than getting a moving company. It cost me $95 to move 30 miles with a 15 foot long truck. This included two appliance dollys , moving blankets, and the insurance. A moving company would have costed me at least $400 to make the same move. For short moves, Uhaul is definitely worth it. Now if you are moving more than 200 miles, you might want to look into a moving company. The only thing that was bs about the uhaul in the video, was that cleaning fee. I have never had that apply to me, even when I moved during covid-19.

you stupid fuckin customers think a truck rental should be "$19.95?" Sure go right on ahead and take it across the usa like some of these low life renters do. Its always been per day price + Miles and if you want to add Insurance etc up to you. But if you leave the shit dirty then hell yeah you gonna get charged a Cleaning fee. If you look at this idiots invoice in the beginning you can see that it was the "authorized amount" before his rental. Clearly states "Estimated"

  5. SAMSUNG PHONE on December 9, 2022 at 12:52 am

Say what you want.but business is business, they advertise 19.95 a day.thats what they advertise. Dont act like the customer is ignorant because he’s calling them on their advertising.

  6. G O on December 9, 2022 at 12:54 am

dusty, the customer swept out the interior of the box .

Man y’all really ran out of stories huh. Tons of more important stories to run

  10. nikluv21 on December 9, 2022 at 1:02 am

That cargo area probably already dusty.

  11. Tom Jones on December 9, 2022 at 1:07 am

Bottom line is Uhaul commited a crime buy charging him for services he was allowed to handle himself and did. I would have gone back and busted out every window in every truck in there parkinglot costing them the entire weeks loss of business. A crackhead will bust a bunch of windows out for about $20

  12. J MOSS on December 9, 2022 at 1:14 am

There is a hidden fee in errrrthang. Did he just move here from out the county? IJS.
Try go renting a car from Hertz or Enterprise. See if it will be $29.99 per day. NOPE
    They have the same fees.

  13. Michael Smith on December 9, 2022 at 1:15 am

The sign says: $19.95 plus $0.99 a mile. The guy estimated 20 miles during use (you can pause it and read his contract). He also got the SafeMove $14.00 insurance coverage. Of COURSE it’s going to come out to $50-$60. HOWEVER, the cleaning charge was pure and utter bullshit. It definitely didn’t warrant the charge. But moral of the story UHAUL and their workers just need to do a good job at bringing attention to the mileage charges.

  14. Daphne Van Zant on December 9, 2022 at 1:15 am

What.. dusty and required cleaning? Wood floors get swept and no if you can see the floor of the floor clearly. A cleaning fee should not have been charged. Oil and paint yes. Dust… no. The news only confirmed that a cleaning fee could be charged for the cargo bin not being clean. But since clearly it is clean the news is misrepresenting the facts. I am sure corporate spoke with teh dealer.

Read everything there is no fine print only blind people

  16. Sola Rezzz on December 9, 2022 at 1:21 am

The uhaul advertisement sign says $19.95 plus mileage/ fees 🤷‍♂️ 👀

  17. cra2yguy12345 on December 9, 2022 at 1:21 am

Say what you want but I work at Uhaul. The signs say 19.95 plus mileage fees. The contracts we hand out also has all of the information on them about fees and everything, and every customer signs the contract agreeing to this. Dont blame the workers or company if you cant read the not even 1 page contract, or ask questions, or follow the instructions texted to you about looking over the truck and everything before driving off with it. Basically the exact same terms and rules as any other truck rental company, and any detail you want or need we can give you, or literally look it up

  18. asia asia on December 9, 2022 at 1:21 am

waste of time , so this was news on a $25 bill. smh. oh wait it wasnt about the money tho.

  19. jean billy on December 9, 2022 at 1:22 am

ask and talk beforehand, don’t let them surprise you

  20. J S on December 9, 2022 at 1:22 am

Ive never had a problem with Uhaul or any rental service. Read all the fine print, ask questions and take pictures.
Don’t waive the liability coverage unless:
1: Your auto insurance covers rental damage.
2: If your credit card company offers liability coverage as a perk.
    3. You can afford to pay all the damages/full price of the rental.

89 cents a mile im going 120 miles round trip..might as well take uber home…?

  22. O on December 9, 2022 at 1:30 am

It is 19.95 plus the .99 cents a mile, I couldn’t even get the key out of the lock box it’s going to take 3 days and 7 hours to get my money refunded and a ruined moving day. Thanks Uhaul

  23. Lee Darkguardian on December 9, 2022 at 1:32 am

Uhaul is all about fees and it’s the cost of doing business with them.
