I know how they went from boxy to curvy and I don’t even need to watch the video. It’s because they designed them that way.

It’s wierd how cars went from boxy (1910s to 1920s) to curvy (1930s to 1960s) to boxy again (1970s 1980s) and curvy again (1990s to 2020s)

What a shame that in another 10 years none of the U.S. brands will have any Cars on there line!🤯 I never thought that I would have to buy an overseas brand! All I’ve ever drove is Dodge & Ford trucks & cars!🇺🇸 C’mon big three!

  23. AMG-41 on February 6, 2023 at 9:50 am

that mpg using curvy car won’t effect right now because traffic jam make its useless. and boxy car has more room for parts and easy maintenance

  24. Shinzo on February 6, 2023 at 9:50 am

Design wise, I really like cars from the 70’s 80′, even some from the 50’s. Now everything is just bulky, round.

If you want to spare 4 minutes, or just still didn’t get it.

    Fuel cheap – edgy cars

    Fuel expensive – sleek cars

Some exceptions made because either fashion (looking at you, 50s) or practical reasons

    Não é verdade, o uno é um quadrado e é econômico.

I remember when all these smooth cars started coming out. I thought they all resembled tapered turds. I’m not kidding.

  39. Ryan S on February 6, 2023 at 10:13 am

It’s for air displacement so the wind blow over the windshield down over the back window and if you had a spoiler it helps keep the back end down gripping the road. Plus it helps with fuel so you don’t creat drag

  40. L on February 6, 2023 at 10:15 am

I’m praying that they make a nice looking car in 2022 instead of these obnoxiously rounded disasters that are taking over

  41. The Loyal Coil on February 6, 2023 at 10:16 am

    The boxy design is superior

  46. Unownshipper on February 6, 2023 at 10:22 am

Let’s admit it, modern cars are curvy and aerodynamic, but God are they formless and bland! When will we get engines so fuel efficient that we can afford to return to the glamour and style of those angular designs of the 1950s and 1960s?

  47. Nicu Girbu on February 6, 2023 at 10:23 am

At the beginning cars were boxy, then curvy, then again boxy, and again curvy

  48. Rei Tillet on February 6, 2023 at 10:27 am

I like Box shaped cars better

  50. Kermit The frog on February 6, 2023 at 10:28 am

I always thought it was just people’s taste in design and trend that shaped the cars of the era, I never knew it had something to do with economy.
