Fake car not a US30 car
must be nice to buy an eight thousand dollar car . my last car was a 1999 porsche boxster s i paid three thousand for
The guy walking around with a lite beer got the wrong video. Coffee here not beer.
I thank it is a Sox an Martin race car
Good to see you avoided the mask thing as much as possible. So many buy into it and you for one I see did not thank you Dennis your a person and a good American.
Looks like a 1965 Shelby Cobra Mustang GT 350R. Check inside the glove compartment with the AC filter.
What a gorgeous car! I’m a Cop, around 75 miles from there. My best bud and are from the West Palm area, he’s got a restored GT350r car. Enjoy!
It’s a cleverly disguised Pinto, I’ll give you 10 bucks to take it off your hands…
Dennis is such a gentleman.
I figured all cars have a soul….I’m glad you have this … Love to see at at
I would like to see the car after you get done with it
Whats the status of this machine?
OUTSTANDING ‼️‼️ Vinny 🇺🇸
I wonder if Bill Sontag still has his Shelby race car in Crest Hill, Il?
I always get hungry ever time I watch your videos 😂.
Dennis, this is a long shot but back in the 90s I worked for Al Vanderslice at Speed Frame Engineering in Farmersville CA. Al was huge into drag Mustangs and Shelby stuff, and was a dealer for Holman Moody. He had started building a straight axle 67 Mustang like this one (years before I worked for him). If he’s still around, he may have some knowledge of this car that might help authenticate it. Awesome find. Best of luck.
Simply fantastic video.
gotta finda good Catfish spot man
Corner lights were on the first 200 Shelby Mustangs in 1967.
I was 5.5 years old when it was built. 🤔
Love the finds and stories like this!!
Another person in the Illinois area that was a poor guy and it was shot or cite the foresight racing school banded
Car is cool an food looks outstanding an delicious
Wow, the stance of that Cobra is bitchin’! Next to Jim Morrison’s Blue Lady, this has to be my favorite Shelby.
Love to know what happened to this car months later, such ah cool horse!!
This has me thinking about my ’66 Chevelle _ 1st let me be clear i am not going to imply here that my story is anything of this level _ In the late fall of ’67 a guy wanted to trade, even across the board, his Chevelle for my ’65 442 _ Seemed like a no-brainer to me as it was a year newer with a big 427 in it _ He was from a rich family where he got this car new and when it arrived at the chevy dealer he had the dealership’s racing team take the 396 out and install an L88 427 _ This racing team which was mainly two brothers built this engine up some too. Too long a story for this forum but if you love the old muscle cars you can appreciate the L88 machine. . . :>/
How much was it? Not a fan of muscle cars these days, just curious
Two yars ago, June 2020, I my wife ran into a freind in the grocery store on a Friday evening. He told her that he knew of a car that I might be interested in. I called him that evening and he told me about a 1967 Charger Hemi 4 speed less than 10 miles from my home. I went and looked at it the next morning. I did my research and went back the following day with my wife. Took more photos, called galen Govier on Monday and he verified that the car had been registered with him in 1997 and that not only was it 1 of 58 67 Charger Hemi 4 speed cars but the color combo , ZZ1 Gold plus the matching Gold interior with buddy seat, could be a 1 of 1. I bought the car and started the process to get it cleaned up and restore as needed. The Hemi engine was on a stand and was rebuilt, so I had to re-wire, new front end components, brake lines, new legendary interior and get a matching date code correct trans becasue the car a 68 trans. Anyway, I am 2 years into the car and this weekend should be starting the car. When I first boughtbthe car, I sent Dennis an email but he never responded. I thought he might be interested in buying BUT I’m glad I kept it and have brought it back to life.
I worked on a house in the uk,and the owner had a car under a taporlin .It was a shelby mustang but had a ferguson 4 wheel drive .The guy used to work for Fersuson and it was built to try and get Ford to buy the system but it was too expensive to make a profit. Don’t know what happened to the car.
What a treat to watch. Shelby car history and an Italian dinner to finish it up. Thank you so much for what you do with these cars. As stated in the video, when the old timers pass on, the stories and history go with them if not preserved by people like you. This is true American history.
This was awesome.
I learned more listening to you guys discuss this car and car history in this one video than I’ve known in my whole life.
This is really cool.
Your the man Dennis. Much love
My home town. Lol
You !ND Richard almost have the same show
Great show and find! I watched the Mopar rescue and there is no way I could get past even 2 slices of pizza never mind even touching the entrees!
🙂🍝
So how much did you end up paying for this one? I don’t think I’ve ever heard price disclosed on any of the many video’s I’ve watched of yours.
Owning a pristine Shelby Mustang is one thing but that car oozes cool exactly as it is,just about perfect. What a find!👍
If the car is from Burbank il and it has a us30 sticker on it i live about 40 minutes away where alot of old timers talk about racing on us30 here where i live years ago back in the late 60s and 70s they might recognize this car
Dennis is the way people should act not only grateful but enjoys hanging the new friends.
anyone know what he payed for it??
Dennis I really like your vids! This one caught my eye because I bought a used 1965 GT 350 in 1967. It was a rocket ship. It was a Shelby Cobra also. The guy I bought it from painted over all stripes into Midnight Blue. He said he had to do that because every time he showed up for a drag, the other guy would see that it was a Shelby and demand car length spots. Mine was nearly all fiberglass also. I always thought the lower vents were to cool the brakes if you didn’t use a parachute. I made too changes to it. I put Mickey Thomson L-50s on the back. The traction difference was phenomenal. Off the line the torque would lift the left front wheel off the ground. I had to change the black spoke wheels because I noticed the spokes were cracking due to the torque. The other thing I did was change the Holly four barrel to a dual line feed Holley Three [3] barrel. I know you have heard a 4 barrel kick in, hearing a 3 barrel kick in would wow you. Keep the vids coming they are amazing, and fun to watch.
man love that thing piece of history right there 🐎🚗🔧💪🇺🇲💯
What’s up with the Copo Camaro Dennis?
It’s now November 22. Have you an update on this car?
What a amazing car…great show Dennis
There’s also a strip in York, PA known as US30 (right on route 30 on the western side of the county). It’s now solely an air strip.
I hate it when guys that "don’t need the money" find gems like these. I would prefer that a much "needier" guy discovered and acquired it.
I love all of Dennis’s shows but as a European the Italian US Restaurants do not make authentic Italy food,
Best episode of yours That I’ve seen(hoping I missed a better) Dennis good job and thank you for all the info.
“Can I set this big bag of cash somewhere?”
