Or just make sure you’re actually ordering what you think

Absolutely, Ebay car parts are nothing but trash. I wouldn’t even buy floor mats from ebay, or ever air fresheners. Nothing for my vehicle, not even funnels. Are you getting the picture here?!?! I hope so..

You’re an eBay newb that’s why ….And not a real car guy 🤦👀

You can buy parts from ebay but you have to buy from JEGS at ebay or Summit at ebay. Dont buy Chinese crap!

  5. Willy's Hot Rods on March 26, 2023 at 8:44 pm

I mean, summit is always a good idea. Ebay is fine

  6. Dan Neil on March 26, 2023 at 8:46 pm

No it’s don’t buy engine parts on eBay 😂

Rock Auto is legit. Amazon and Ebay are full of counterfeits, even spark plugs.

Blame youself for not checking clearences. ALWAYS check even if the parts are straight from the machine shop.

Funny thing is ladies and gentlemen look up where eagle and scat are made dragonslayer is one of the only USA and its 2x the money of eagle and scat. Yes some of the Chinese market is garbage. But not everything is junk as we just learned. This guy here made some rookie mistakes it’s not the parts. He didn’t measure everything. I have a Chinese rebuild kit I did in a 350 chevy I think it came with pistons and all for around 500 and I used it all except the cam and it still runs idles at 40 psi and don’t smoke or leak oil at 109,000

I’ve bought a shit load of parts off ebay but I bought them from reputable sellers, not china sellers and make sure your engine is spotless when you put it together and don’t ignore the tight bearing clearances and you’ll be fine, hell I might build an engine with parts that only came from ebay….

You can definitely buy legitimate parts on eBay. I’ve gotten killer deals on wideband gauges for example. Just gotta be careful. In general though, the Chinesium stuff is gonna be hit or miss. Also keep in mind eBay has good buyer protection.

Actually eBay is a good place to buy parts. Jegs, Speedway, Competition Products, Summit and many others sell on eBay. Bought a 1976 Weiand tunnelram on eBay, just bought a Lunati roller cam from Lunati on eBay. It’s just a place to sell shit kinda like Craigslist and Facebook marketplace, just bigger. Back in the day we bought shit from magazine adds, local buy and sell newspapers, and classified adds in the paper. You just gotta be able to know what your buying, lots of people selling shit on eBay, some are selling good parts, some are selling junk. Gotta know the difference. Plus it’s nice to have eBay force a seller to refund your money if your not happy. Every brand parts made can be purchased on eBay, and you can even find the lowest price for that particular item. I save alot of money buying off eBay. The cheapest option on anything is usually the worst option.

Chinesium part’s – the last laugh in faux automotive restoration!

Man maybe the 1968 caprice fender I bought is going to be wrong but idk It looks exactly like what I need damn I’m nervous now

would help if you knew what you were doing. From what I’ve seen, The engine was doomed the sec you replaced parts without knowing what is required when doing so. You know absolutely nothing about engine building and are too lazy or stupid to do the research.

Watch his full video: the valves they claimed were genuine Manley were Chineseley (and were previously used), etc.
Btw did that Chevrolet original color engine paint come from eBay too?
