RAV-4 is the number 1, no matter what these bozos say. If you want reliability and great resale value go for it.

  2. Peter on January 6, 2023 at 5:15 am

Even though it’s a bit smaller would like to see how the VW Taos compares to the others.

  3. UmarTheGreat10 on January 6, 2023 at 5:17 am

All major reputable publications still rank the crv near or at the top (car and driver, Edmunds etc)
Y’all seem to have a fetish with Hyundai and Kia trash.

  4. MrPicky400 on January 6, 2023 at 5:17 am

    Cx50 looks good

  5. Gama Sharma on January 6, 2023 at 5:17 am

How is Mitshubishi Outlander 2022 not here?

  6. SP Steve on January 6, 2023 at 5:18 am

Good grief, other than the Bronco Sport all these cars are really ugly. I’m looking for a small SUV but I don’t want any of those.

  7. chocolate milk on January 6, 2023 at 5:19 am

You gave away the first place car before even getting to #1….why? Don’t be so uncool next time.

  8. Highball 734 on January 6, 2023 at 5:19 am

They straight up gave the middle finger to GMC terrain

  9. Canoe Fishing on January 6, 2023 at 5:23 am

I bought the Tucson instead of the sportage….the outside styling of the sportage is just too odd for me…although the interior is just wow NICE. But it’s great to see the sister cars finish 1 and 2. Love the Tucson…it just seems far more expensive that it cost…very smooth…quiet and stylish.

  10. ssmiker on January 6, 2023 at 5:23 am

No EV’s in were even tested. That seems like a missed opportunity and I think pretty much invalidates the results because buying an new ICE vehicle in 2022 is a dubious decision at best. Ionic 5, EV6, ID4 Model Y, Mach-E, Kona Electric, etc. all would have fit in this class.

  11. Alex Farid on January 6, 2023 at 5:25 am

CX-5 is the best in the class , very high quality in fit , finish , handling and driving dynamics .

  12. Relax on January 6, 2023 at 5:25 am

No one is going to talk about the reliability issues of the Nissan ? At least the top two Korean cars have the best warranty as well smh

  13. Debra Cannon,RN,DSN on January 6, 2023 at 5:26 am

    Love my Mercedes gla. 36mpg

  14. Clockninja69 on January 6, 2023 at 5:27 am

I mean toyota has a recall of 84k today. Their reliability has dropped

  15. David Zavala on January 6, 2023 at 5:30 am

Mazda screw up on the cx50 on wheels. For an "off road, trail" vehicle it should just keep the smallest wheels possible so you have more rubber for rocks, but instead higher trims get bigger wheels, really? You want a better road handling…you got the cx5!!!

  16. Jeff Ruebens on January 6, 2023 at 5:31 am

Some are changing the Rogue and Altima transmission fluid every 20 thousand miles, because so many need a rebuild. The all wheel drive Rogue has an extra cooler for the transmission, so they tend to go longer before the transmission starts to fail.

  17. Andres Salazar Autos on January 6, 2023 at 5:31 am

Funny how we now need more than 200HP to call an SUV adequate, remember the times when a V8 SUV would have less power than the least powerful vehicle here? Yeah a Grand Wagoneer with a monster V8 making a 140HP through a 3 speed automatic. How things have changed.

  18. Felix Larouche on January 6, 2023 at 5:31 am

Given that you are a Canadian outlet, really annoying that you guys don’t bother to include Canadian units when mentioning MPG, etc..

  19. RC Stuff on January 6, 2023 at 5:33 am

Nobody in their right mind would buy a Nissan with a CVT if you plan on keeping it past 60,000 miles – Rogue included!

  20. Windi Grin on January 6, 2023 at 5:33 am

Good review from a viewpoint that excludes preconceived notions. Japanese cars excel in every way, but I feel that the times are gradually changing. Toyota doesn’t even come up with a decent EV.

  21. Titan on January 6, 2023 at 5:36 am

Absolutely NONE of these cars are "small" SUVs. Get your eyes’ checked morons

  22. Aaron Chambers on January 6, 2023 at 5:36 am

damn the didnt even include the Ford Escape.. lol TF lol

  23. ivo n on January 6, 2023 at 5:38 am

Grate video. Kia and Hyundai in Europe are 12 am shorter, hence much smaller than Toyota or Nissan.

  24. Darkivaz-AAA on January 6, 2023 at 5:38 am

    yh

  25. Georges R on January 6, 2023 at 5:38 am

Not a fair competition…. Base models vs top of the line models.

  26. MOTOSTREET GARAGE on January 6, 2023 at 5:38 am

This cute little micro SUV has Fiat engine, 5star NCAP rating and its selling like a hot cake in Asia https://youtu.be/dg-B2EHwjZY

  27. star662 on January 6, 2023 at 5:42 am

The non-turbo Mazdas have CYLINDER DEACTIVATION (aka: displacement on demand, variable cylinder management, variable displacement). Mazda has been having trouble with it with recalls, and service notices, plus in one vehicle that has it (3) they removed it for a year to iron out problems. Run away from these as used cars when they get older.

  28. Allan Desmond on January 6, 2023 at 5:42 am

    "pithy ":)

  29. Allan Desmond on January 6, 2023 at 5:45 am

well done guys, this isn’t easy with this many.. pity but informative ..cheers Allan

  30. ctk4949 on January 6, 2023 at 5:46 am

Weird Mazda didn’t send their CX-5 Turbo??

  31. A G on January 6, 2023 at 5:47 am

How did they not include the buick encore gx?🤦‍♂️

  32. CIWWNSKSNWNDUDJDN on January 6, 2023 at 5:48 am

VW’s are complete fucking garbage. Never buying one ever again.

  33. SethjordanB on January 6, 2023 at 5:50 am

You can definitely tell that these guys don’t worry about reliability because the top 3 are Kia, Hyundai, and Nissan…

  34. Anthony Pagano on January 6, 2023 at 5:51 am

Where is the ford escape and Chevrolet equinox and Mitsubishi Outlander and Jeep Cherokee

  35. GrownUpGaming on January 6, 2023 at 5:51 am

Rogue got my vote. For the family hauler, who doesnt care about acceleration, or turning sharp corners, Rogue is the best.

  36. Bill Nye on January 6, 2023 at 5:52 am

The new Kia Sportage is so ugly I can’t get past its looks. Hideous.

  37. Eric MA on January 6, 2023 at 5:53 am

Looking for small SUV, they are not “small” at all.

  38. Joe Powell on January 6, 2023 at 5:53 am

I’ll take the Mazda CX5 OVER ALL OF THESE ANYDAY.

  39. Ibrahim Bashir on January 6, 2023 at 5:56 am

    Only RAV4 !!

  40. Murray Armstrong on January 6, 2023 at 5:58 am

I don’t think that hybrids should have been included in this test at all.

  41. Joyanta Kumar Saha on January 6, 2023 at 5:59 am

Made a 20 mins video with two of the most unreliable SUV on the market on top spots. What crap!

The beard and shaved head is really working for him.

  43. Ryan Craig on January 6, 2023 at 6:01 am

I needed a new car badly so started looking back in May. I test drove the Tuscon and Santa Fe, Toyota Rav 4 and Highlander, Acura RDX, Mazda CX5 and 9, Honda CRV, and maybe a couple others. I liked the Tuscon hybrid drivetrain, but wasn’t big on its interior or exterior styling. Liked the Santa Fe interior and how it drove and put a deposit on a "Luxury Hybrid" model, but Hyundai is very slow delivering more of them. The RAV4 and CRV left me cold. The Highlander was just too big. The RDX was nice but the tech was old and they’re hard on gas. So when I saw the new Sportage I liked the interior and exterior and knew I already liked the hybrid drivetrain (from driving the Tuscon), so based on a test drive of a 2.5 I4 model (gutless and noisy) I got on the waiting list back in May for a hybrid EX model. Got it in September and I’m pretty happy with it so far, with a few relatively minor niggles. Mostly to do with driving at night – the base model reflector headlights low beams aren’t great, and the grid for the heated windshield is distracting when lit up by oncoming headlights.

  44. JB82 on January 6, 2023 at 6:01 am

None of these vehicles are SUVs, they’re all CUVs/Crossovers.

  45. Rich Woodward on January 6, 2023 at 6:03 am

I can’t believe these new vehicles don’t have automatic headlights. I’ve seen many of these including the Tuscan driving at night with only the DRLs on and dashboard illuminated. Nuts

  46. Nick on January 6, 2023 at 6:04 am

    Discovery Sport!

  47. Jeremiah Comer on January 6, 2023 at 6:08 am

These are lease only vehicles unless you want to deal with engine problems.

  48. TruthSpeaker on January 6, 2023 at 6:09 am

Great comparison. Wish it had no background music.
