excellent points sir – what has worked for me & to keep it simple – I buy a good generic battery ($50/Value-EverStart Walmart Battery) use & change every 4 years
Will, I don’t know nothing about car stuff, and on the weekend I used the accessory mode to vaccum my car for a long period of time 30 to 45 mins, the next day my car starts to have a weird alert sound from the car then my car don’t shift ,it won’t go pass 1000rpm , I asked my friends and searched online about the cause of bad battery issues, it’s been 3 days with this problem, now the car is at the dealership, I will ask them to check the battery percentage and I might just ask them to replace a new one ,on my new 2021 Kia Sorento, and I learned some things here in this video, thank you so much
THANKS YOU SIR
Thank you, you do an amazing job explaining what’s happening, very much appreciated! God bless
Will using a more powerful battery than OEM hurt or stress the alternator in any way?
Good teacher thanks GOD BLESS U, U SHARED EXPERICE
My battery drops from 12.6 volts to 10.6 by just opening the door and waking up the car. I charged it and I checked it every hour for 7 hours and it stayed at 12.6 volts. Open the door and it drops 2 volts immediately. With car running I’m getting 14.6 volts so charging is fine. I’m thinking my battery can only hold the 12.6 volts with no draw whatsoever. As soon as I open the door it drops 2 volts. Would you say this is a bad battery? I’ve checked everything for parasitic draw and found none.
Thank you
Mine is 12.36
youre better than scotty kilmer
Is 12.5 volts low? My truck still starts up but its been missing and i cant figure out why i tested the coils they are working. I noticed the battery is 12.5 volts id imagine a truck needs more power than a normal car so would expect a normal resting voltage to be 12.8 volts not 12.5. I have it on a charger to see if it runs better after charging then. The battery is also smaller than the battery holder not sure if that matters but batteries plus has that battery listed as compatible for my truck. I also tested the alternator it is supplying 14.7 volts at idle so its no that.
Very very good. God bless you. I always knew that a battery can harm an alternator, but so many people don’t want to hear that. Now, with your succinct and factual publication, I can refer to your brains for my take on the story. Thank you!
Ok if I turn my key to Acc mode my battery voltage is 11.70 volts so what’s that mean? When I crank it it is 14.60 volts
Thank bro
God bless you too…
Great help man
The info is quite oversimplified but I really appreciate the general summary in less than 3 minutes!
My car early in the morning when I first stop at light cuts of everything for about 2-3 seconds then everything comes back on. Only does it in morning in the first 5 mins of driving car. Reading about a lot of Chevy Malibu’s thinking this could be battery even tho the battery voltage on my dash always reads 11.8v and above. Any suggestions?
Very good.. Thank you god bless
Learn a lot under 3 minutes.
Thank you
Great knowledge. God bless, bye for now🙏
My resting voltage on my battery is 11.8V. I changed the alternator and bought a new battery(WalMart) about 6 months ago. My battery light came on in the car today. Hopefully it’s the battery. I will have it checked soon.
Thank you.

Wait a minute I think I found my problem..I put a rebuild battery in my car and after I put it in I been having a hesitation only on hot sunny days and at night there’s absolutely no hesitation..after seeing this video I think it could be the battery cause my starter also died on me
On other video you said you doubt it’ll be a problem ? Mine is a lil uderpowered though new by about 45 CCA’s . Sounding rough when it used to start . Just got it out of shop . I hope I didn’t damage starter
Make Shure the ground – is good
Good needed information
Thanks
Yes it was the battery thanks for the video and god bless you too
Excellent, right to the point. Thanks!
Bullshits, what about Amperage? Crancking amp? that is most important then voltage
Thanks mate like & subscribed
