I found my dreamed first job by sheer fucking accident.
Now, i work part-time as a marketing designer intern in an off-road tuning shop, just 3 miles from my home. I barely earn the bare minimum wage (60 USD a week) for 30 hours a week.
But man, im happy there, and if im lucky, i could get contract there for a _at least_ 150 USD/week wage. For a first proper job, thats quite good.
Pre 2023 Hiroka… you would be proud of where did you go. And my kid or teenager version… he would be screaming of happiness, of how hard did you struggle and how did you end up…

What kind of delivery driver?
CAR DETAILER is absolutely the one I want to go for. Cleaning cars is the most fun thing in my life and that’s definitely going to be my job. The best way to start out is at a dealership in the auto recon center. It gets you detailing vehicles full-time and kind of shows you what it’s like to work in auto detailing a lot, after doing that for a while and maybe saving up money and getting used to the labor, then you can look into either doing a mobile detailing business of your own or a stationary one. Detailing is a very successful business because there are a lot of lazy people in this world especially in America with the new generation people, so auto detailers actually end up being pretty successful, currently one 20 something year old kid it’s currently making a 100,000+ a year! You do not have to be a car mechanic to be a real car guy.
My first job was at a tire shop when I was 16. Worked there for about a year just to kind of get the experience. Since then I moved on to doing various other things. But its a still a good place to start if you want to get into automotive repair.

I got to delivery driver and I laughed a little cause I deliver pizzas in my integra and it doesn’t even feel like work and the looks you get from people when they see a dominos topper on a teg are pretty funny
Get a good engineering degree, then probably a doctorate. Join ferrari. Live your life.
If not, just get into finance and steal from the greedy poor.

If you have the brains and means to go to college, you can also become a mechanical engineer and create these cars to begin with

19yrs old doing vehicle maintenance for the Airforce
Lube technician is how i started. I got hired straight on my 18th birthday. Learned how to change oils on many different cars. Entry level job that paid around 1500 every 2 weeks. Gave me a start and many of my coworkers go straight to auto shops and dealerships from this job. Get pretty good at it since its pretty fast paced.
If somebody sees this comment please know that some places can let you deliver food or lighter stuff on a bicycle! That’s what I’m going to do

If your 18 or over a decent job is working in a factory. My buddy makes $20 a hour. It might be longer hours but if you put in the work. It pays alright.
Currently working as a lube tech for valvoline. You don’t need a diploma to start there and they train you. Day one you get a book with written steps to get to service center manager if you wanted to get there. You see a few nice cars come through, and sometimes some real nice ones, like there’s a GT-R that comes through my shop. Plus you get knowledge of basic routine maintenance that you can then do on your own car for a fraction of the cost

Its so nice hearing that in the USA you can make 9.5 usd/hour. Here in greece the wage for a car washer is 1.5-2.5 euro/hour (the 2.5 is kinda rare though)
If anyone is interested in the last one just know that some small body shop will take in a 17 to 18 year old still in high school and teach the things they need for the job. I work at one that only has 5 employees. I started at 14 thanks to a friend of my dad’s but still I know a few people who are young and get to do this job. Just don’t expect many sports cars or just nice cars in general. Now all this is very dependent on were you like of course.
Some highschools offer technician programs and you can become a mechanic right out of highschool. Just an idea
Honestly, i prefer car detailer, you’ll get to see different cars and clean something dirty (idk, i like cleaning dirt)
