Kei car / truck is not good. The only reason they exist is due to stupid policy. They can’t pass crash test.
However, there are large version of kei van/truck sold in China as mini Van/truck. They have larger space and engine. They can also offloading and also pass crash test. They made by GM and some Japanese brand and are the most selling car in China just like pickup truck in US.

  7. Fix It 1975 on May 9, 2023 at 9:20 pm

  8. Will on May 9, 2023 at 9:21 pm

  9. Captain Canada on May 9, 2023 at 9:21 pm

Jeeps aren’t even the best at Jeeping anymore. Give me a FJ or a 4Runner anyday over a Jeep.

  10. Fernando Barajas on May 9, 2023 at 9:22 pm

I live in Las Vegas and saw a vehicle I believe America wants and needs. The Suzuki Jimny. The successor to the old Samurai.. It was a Mexico vehicle and just like the old VW beetle isn’t available in the USA. The old Beetle was available till 2003 and cost less the $10k…

  11. chepecho on May 9, 2023 at 9:22 pm

We dont have access to those vehicles because of monopoly ….

  12. Phillip Wombacher on May 9, 2023 at 9:23 pm

  13. Phillip Wombacher on May 9, 2023 at 9:24 pm

Um you can get all of these cars in the US

  14. Aaron DeRossett on May 9, 2023 at 9:25 pm

We would have more options, but our trucks are so big, 1 of two things happens…#1 the big trucks eat all the smaller cars…#2 the big trucks literally used every last bit of metal being built so there was none left t9 make small cars. Its like Schrodingers Lets Make a Deal, except every door has over-sized and over-priced cars with ridiculous interest rates because "dealer markup," aka greedy azz hoes screw ya coming and going with a no reach-around special!

  15. bard lar on May 9, 2023 at 9:25 pm

We can buy kei trucks ez

  16. ChipperBTD6 on May 9, 2023 at 9:25 pm

But in America we have. SPACE, and FREEDOM.

  17. Tubro 🌍 on May 9, 2023 at 9:27 pm

I would buy from at least two of those categories immediately, if they were available.

  18. Diane Phillips on May 9, 2023 at 9:27 pm

    Yeah I’m good keep those

  19. Steve Kight on May 9, 2023 at 9:27 pm

A lot of these vehicles don’t meet highway safety requirements.

  20. jack wagon on May 9, 2023 at 9:29 pm

    Station wagon?

  28. Tubro 🌍 on May 9, 2023 at 9:38 pm

We need to look at Indian🇮🇳 cars and why they are not allowed in the US🇺🇲 and Canada🇨🇦..

    For example:

The Mahindra Thar: It does virtually everything a Jeep can do.(slightly narrower with slightly more ground clearance than a jeep) Much better and more comfortable ride than a jeep. More fuel efficient than a jeep. Much better crash test safety ratings than a Jeep. 💰⅓ the cost of a Jeep.

Tata Nano, cheapest way to move 5 passengers.

Bajaj Qute, cheapest way to move 4 passengers.

    Etc.

Ford, GM, Fiat, Chrysler all failed in the Indian market as they weren’t good enough. Tesla is too chicken to try and compete in India.

  29. Nathan Hough on May 9, 2023 at 9:42 pm

You Litterly just listed vechiles that so tiny they shouldn’t even be allowed in the united states

    I drive a small hatchback
Most of the vechiles you listed are so tiny they could hide in my tiny blind spot

  30. jk on May 9, 2023 at 9:44 pm

What are the crash ratings on some of those cars?

  31. Daniel Brealey on May 9, 2023 at 9:45 pm

#3 Is a ute bro. A ute, NOT a coupe utility. There are 4 door versions of our Commodore utes as well, so coupe utility isn’t the correct term

  32. RustyBricks on May 9, 2023 at 9:47 pm

lol we have an entire culture dedicated to off road workhorses wat you talkn bout’ Willis?

  35. Jwilson on May 9, 2023 at 9:52 pm

I thought jeep was a European company anyway!?

  36. Scruboak on May 9, 2023 at 9:53 pm

They don’t pass the DOT crash tests, cause we are full of idiots, and this country is full of non driving dip shits

  37. Zachary Zarko on May 9, 2023 at 9:53 pm

The reason Americans can’t buy any of those vehicles is because all of them have a 0% survival rate in crashes above 5 miles per hour.

  38. MoonFlux on May 9, 2023 at 9:53 pm

#6 Anything over 200$ we can not afford either. But we still buy it for some reason.

  39. fel on May 9, 2023 at 9:55 pm

    Why?!

  40. Mr. T. on May 9, 2023 at 9:57 pm

All of those vehicles are tiny crap boxes

  44. Jan Tschierschky on May 9, 2023 at 10:04 pm

20 people in a mini bus ? Technically possible

  45. Bassplayer Marty on May 9, 2023 at 10:06 pm

Because the big three auto makers lobbied the government, and they changed the laws…!
Remember we used to get small Toyota pick ups and small Nissan pick ups, etc.
To comply with the new law, the Toyotas and Nissans had to get a lot bigger and during this time that they were not able to sell them, Chevrolet sold a ton of the S 10 pick ups, which are basically garbage and do not last nearly as long as the good old small Toyota pick ups. Now with, gas prices where they are, this is ridiculous ! But the oil companies love it, because we’re all getting raped.
Just think if Toyota could sell the small pick ups again with the engines out of a Corolla you could get 35 miles per gallon…!
The big three auto makers lied and said oh yes, we will get high gas mileage… Really?
I’m tired of being lied to… Are you?

  46. MofongoGringo on May 9, 2023 at 10:06 pm

Love my 2022 Ford Ranger 😬

  47. Yourlocalredneck on May 9, 2023 at 10:07 pm

Ok you might not be able to buy these as a consumer in America but I’ve seen plenty of all these things in my single county. I know a kid who daily’s a mini truck I know someone with an el Camino. And I also know someone with a mini bus. And I also believe a smart car might be in the kei car category.

  48. Carla Araujo on May 9, 2023 at 10:07 pm

  49. MALONE DICK RIDES AGAIN on May 9, 2023 at 10:07 pm

chevy avalanche, Subaru brat, honda ridgeline… all like el caminos… ugly as fuk

  50. Eugene A on May 9, 2023 at 10:07 pm

And out come the propaganda bots claiming there’s no market here, or they’re too small, or they’re not safe. When the reality is, it’s not a free market. The big auto makers have a stranglehold on the US market and anyone offering a cheap alternative is discouraged. In the 80,s Japan entered the US market and the same detractions were written about them. The rich politicians in Washington don’t give a damn about you if you can’t afford a mortgage for a car.
