I spend over $1,000 a month on diesel fuel for my truck on top of a $600 a month payment. For $1,000 a month I can purchase an electric truck and a DIY 15 KW solar system with battery storage. I think this is the ideal way to own one of these vehicles. Use the solar power from the day to charge your batteries in your home and then charge your truck at night.

  7. Dennisl Lucas on July 4, 2023 at 2:48 am

Evie’s if I get them under about $5,000 I might think about buying one not really

These ev trucks need more power and range….THEYRE WORK TRUCKS! How many times will you need to call the job site and say you’ll be late for a few hours cuz you need to charge up to carry the load!

  12. Remo Williams on July 4, 2023 at 2:52 am

The lightning combustion will leave that lightning dead on side of road after the EV batt is drained.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to introduce 70 square feet of plastic for the bumper on the next generation Chevrolet trucks should be ashamed of themselves

  28. RTZ ZZ on July 4, 2023 at 3:16 am

Just to be clear, a 40K lightening has a battery capacity to take you to local gas station and that’s about it.

  29. Donnie League on July 4, 2023 at 3:17 am

Which of these are really 40k

  30. D B on July 4, 2023 at 3:17 am

Everyone who gives Tesla’s Cyber Truck a look will see money well spent, whereas the Big 3 and other followers of them do not see Elon’s visionary view of what vehicle makers can give their buyers: The Best. The rest are substitutes.

  31. Sean Mayo on July 4, 2023 at 3:18 am

Fuel comes from the ground just the components of batteries. Raping the earth . It’s the same. They know y’all dumb

  32. Huba Buba on July 4, 2023 at 3:19 am

Everything is under 40~50k but selling for 90k .EV indrustry is still so young,I’ll be buying when range on battery will be over 600miles,for now there is not enough superchargers, and usually they not working

  33. Randy L on July 4, 2023 at 3:20 am

They all say starting at $40k and by the time they hit the market they are $70k.

  34. naser KMB on July 4, 2023 at 3:20 am

    F150 lighting

  35. Raymond Torres on July 4, 2023 at 3:22 am

So they are trying to force these battery operating . They look nice but what’s the mileage you get towing and hauling things from place to place and if the lights are on as well. Going up hill with a load are with a load and towing something as well. How about if you like going off roading and your out some place were you can’t charge your truck are vehicle what do you do . Real talk 🧠 it’s why I said the best vehicle would be a hybrid cause it’s both gas and battery. The price of these cars and trucks are crazy and we can barely afford a gas car are truck let alone support a family with the minimum rage job. I like how they say only 40k are 50k and I only make minimum wage 15$ dollars in California and rent is only 1,500 to 2,000 a month😢💔😭

  36. Derick Welch on July 4, 2023 at 3:23 am

how is it amazing when takes 2 to 4 days to get a full charge

  37. Bob booby Boby bob on July 4, 2023 at 3:28 am

Can the good ol average working boy really afford $39,999.99 ? That’s your idea of under 40K?? 🤣🤣🤣😳

  44. miguel jacob on July 4, 2023 at 3:37 am

Don’t fall for the hype. An inferior vehicle will expose itself, and ev will be towed by a gas or diesel engine.

  45. Matthew Huszarik on July 4, 2023 at 3:38 am

The only way BEV trucks get to $40,000 is if they use Na-Ion batteries. With Li-Ion even LiFeP they will be $60k+. The stripped F-150 Lightning now starts at $56k.

  46. Charlie Leishman on July 4, 2023 at 3:38 am

EV’s are complete garbage. Look at the new Ford Lightening – a range of 300 miles when new, drop the temperature down to just above freezing and now your looking at a 200 mile range – now pull a trailer (after all it is a truck!!) and you range is now 70 miles. All this when the Truck is NEW. What happens when the shitbox is 4 years old and your getting 70% of your battery life at best?? Now you’ve had this piece of crap for 4 years and you want to sell it because you need a new piece of crap – good luck explaing to the potential buyer that he needs to spend 30,000 for new batteries so they can make out of their driveway. Remember, 4 years ago you paid $90,000 for that piece of crap, and now it needs new Batteries!! Also, where is all the power coming from to charge these pieces of junk? – is the electricity free now?? What do you do with yourself and your family on a road trip with no range followed by a needed 8 to 10 hour charge cycle – get a Hotel?? – even more saving for you and your Joe Biden dementia cases.

  47. Jim Hansen on July 4, 2023 at 3:38 am

I am slowly moving to being comfortable with the electrification of vehicles. I would have less range concern if the government, who is pushing this, would invest in charging stations at every rest area along the interstate. That just makes sense to me.

I would like range to be 400 plus. For people like me who travel 500 would be optimal.

  48. slik on July 4, 2023 at 3:38 am

Man why do car brands always have to change the design for their EV versions??

  49. Fishburne -_- on July 4, 2023 at 3:39 am

clickbait title, will never watch your videos

  50. JConley81ArmyVet on July 4, 2023 at 3:40 am

The work truck version is what you MIGHT get for 40k! No way in hell anyone is getting the RST for 40K! That will be closer to 80-90K! GM Needs to stop showing the top of the line model and acting like thats what you get for 40K! People get to the dealer and get pissed when they find out that no you don’t! Also I have read reports that showed towing with the EV is all but useless. You may get 150-200 miles at best!
