I know this is a cool SUV and all, but that red TLX in the background immediately got all of my attention

Nice vehicle, smaller infotainment screen and lack of touch screen capabilities is surprisingly lacking in todays markets and for the sticker price.

Copped my 2023 MDX Type-S Advance three weeks ago, Ben. Tiger Eye on Orchid. Gas mileage is crap (13mpg around town and barely 16 on the highway), but it’s the smoothest and most luxurious SUV I’ve ever owned. So glad I have it in my garage.

This and the gv80 are the only strong Asian luxury midsize SUVs. No other Asian suv can even afford to dream of such status

  7. PHO NOODLES on December 10, 2022 at 1:00 am

No touch screen. Sad about that

You could get a RX500h at this price point. Better tech, more reliable, and is an actual luxury vehicle. Turbo 4 engine doesnt sound as good as this, but easily double the gas mileage. This is only a premium sports suv.

This vehicle looks dated already and the price is really expensive. You could get a bmw x5 for the same price as this car

  10. JUS NASS on December 10, 2022 at 1:17 am

    It’s only 355 hp

  11. David K on December 10, 2022 at 1:25 am

Great suv, but way less power than what you can get from BMW, Lincoln Aviator, MBenz, etc. 355HP is low for a TypeS, very very conservative for this price point. $75,000 for 355Hp? Pass..

Good looking vehicle, just wish they would redesign that center console with the track pad and big rotating knob and also that gear select buttons and parking break button. Give us a normal hand shifter and screw the buttons!

I own (actually Leased) a new 2022 MDX Advance in August 2021, pursuant to an Early Lease Termination Offer made by my 2019 MDX dealer. My 2019 MDX Advance, had just over 21K in miles in a lease with 18K miles per year which I selected in June 2019 based on the Commuter usage to & from Work (over 85 miles a day and the 3 hours of Fun doing it!!). Due to the work from Home orders produced by COVID, I worked from Home since March 2020 (Hated It !!! – Love the Office camaraderie & checking out the Girls’ outfits :):) ) – no more commuting = much less mileage on the clock. After finally Biting the Bullet, suffering with spinal arthritis / back & Neck Pains for years, at age 70, in May 2021, I retired with a Long term disability settlement thru my employer’s Insurance Co. After getting the Original Acura’s Reach Out Letter offering a $1K Loyalty money on anew 2022 MDX, and with the lower mileage on my existing MDX (creating Equity to Me), after reviewing the new 2022 MDX, I went Shopping!! Always shop! My experiences of shopping for Big Ticket Items like Cars have shown me Time and Time Again, that You can save Money by doing so. It’s a royal PIA, but can be rewarding. I shopped at 3 Nearby Dealers and as I said, obtained 3 different deals which varied the amount of Equity the dealer calculated, the MSRP (no one Budged form the $62.3K ), add’l Cap cost & final Monthly lease payment. The second Dealer (Curry Acura in Scarsdale NY offered the best deal). It beat the other deals with all things being pretty much equal by about $50 a month on the Monthly payment for a 36-month lease. Why?, because Curry offered the most Equity on the lease Turn in.
The Type S was not out yet… Had it been , I might have been extremely Interested to measure the increased pleasure index against the add’l $10K in price , at that time. Who knows what the next year may bring in Cars, but if Acura offers another new early termination deal, I might Opt for a new Type S ?? Or, stick with my 2022 MDX Advance in Fathom Blue Pearl with the gray Leatherior interior until buyout time 8/2024. The Buyout Price in the lease is $36.5K !! The MDX will have way under mileage – currently at 8200 miles after 16 months ( No more Commuting !! Just Grandpa Runs for kids’ visits). Nice Review Ben.
