One big show ,thanks for sharing another great video Sam ,I love it.
It went so smooth that I went to sleep as being relaxed is so strange for me any more. I seen so many of my bucket list cars. I had a few more of them than I thought as well. We waste much of our lives not really realizing it. It won’t be a driver an should be fixed but ah, your in a hurry and life goes on. You find out it was the one and only chance you had at finding one. And of course there is the one that your folks got rid of for a different car and the replacement had too many doors, six cylinder, stuff old people like by now. Dad had bought a end of year car like always did to save that take it off the lot price loss. He come home with a three on the tree four door hardtop that had the modified 283 engine so it had a little cam in it. As well, the dual exhaust…. I digress, that chevy was the butter yellow and white top belair and no one had bought it cause of price but dad gets their salesman drunk and hits him with a price anyone would laugh at and got this car in spring of 58. Mom can’t handle a clutch all the sudden as all our cars were standards until she set her heart on the automatic. Dad gets a speeding ticket while so drunk that he couldn’t walk and blames the car for the "only a speeding ticket" when drinking wasn’t so bad. He goes downtown and its winter of 58 and the 59’s are showing up on the lots. He goes by chrysler plymouth and sees a starting price an falls in love … slightly high as he always was, a six cylinder with automatic plymouth and because he now hates the chevy for a thirty dollar ticket trades even for that slug. Its the story of my life as I dearly loved that car and when I drove that chevy where no one could see me left posi marks on the blacktop. Forgot to mention somehow the chevy even had positraction. I don’t know what they were worth and this one was smoked in an had some burn holes in the drivers side of the seat. Otherwise it had escaped the whiskey dents. It had only thirty some thousand miles and was a puffer. Not a well built engine as the lifters rattled in the morning… every reason to get a four door plymouth!!—- brought back a memory or seven as I am a ford man.
I’m a GM guy. But I always thought 70 Mercury cougars were so cool.
