Gagan ji, really confused between buying 4×4 Jeep Compass vs the regular Compass. Have never driven a 4×4 vehicle before, not sure if i really need that. My regular usage is highway drive till now, but i want to go a little off-road will regular compass be able to pull that out.

Diff lock mode is very dangerous if not used in correct situation. It can break your axel into two parts. But normally the 4×4 does not use diff lock. There is another mode which is 4×4 with diff lock

there is no difference between four wheel drive and 4×4 because all 2 are the same ,all wheel drive is completely different from these 4 wheel drive or 4×4.,,4×4 is suitable only for offroading activities like rockclimbing,crossing streams,wildsafaris,and also for wet snowy or slushy muddy terrains,,and 4×4 is for smooth and slow crawling but allwheel drive set up is used only on rallies where it helps car to get perfectly cornered or for good turning with the help of power distribution for all four wheels..these all wheel drive cars cant be used for rock climbing or crossing streams…
