My 2012 f350 rides just fine, it sure beats the 2004 f250 I drove that felt like I was riding on cement blocks every time I hit a bump.
For dodge, especially the earlier years 3/4 and 1 ton trucks had the same axles, and leafs in some cases. My 3/4 is essentially a 1 ton without the badges
First! Refreshed like ten times to be sure!
Honestly a half ton has enough towing capacity for me but I’m addicted to diesels so 3/4 ton it is
In a lot of cases, a 3/4 ton with air bags will tow just as much as a one ton would.
Our Excursion has airbags. Its a really nice setup.
Me in my s10 🥲
I’m about to move to Texas for work and really been looking in to getting an actually new truck lol glad this came out thanks Dustin
Who else up at 3am after pounding back a red bull at 8pm for a work out and now can’t sleep? 🙋♂️
Whistlin diesels video included 🤣
Neither because I can admit I don’t need a 3/4 ton
If you can afford 1 ton you go 1 ton all day and twice on tow day lol
I bought a 1 ton because here in Minnesota 1 ton tabs are only $100
LETS GO BRANDON 🇺🇸
I own a 21 3500 srw Chevy. It rides as good or better than my 16 2500 even unloaded.
I like them short bed truck with 40 go anywhere and definitely a fun build
I own a 1 ton and will most likely never go back, yeah it rides a little stiffer but its a truck. So it doesnt bother me. I like long bed trucks and if youre gonna get a long bed you might as well up the capacity so you can use that extra space. 1 truck that will pretty much do anything you want it to, it just rides a little stiffer. But you can get nice riding suspension kits like Carli that will offset the rough ride
Just got a 14 f250 lariat and can’t be happier. For me 3/4 dose what I need and looks good doing it. Lol. Thanks for the video.
In MN…1 ton, lic.tabs are only $100 a year
Half ton represent
Couldn’t agree more. Had a 1 ton. Rode and handled worse than my 3/4 ton. Since I only tow 4 or 5 days out of a month, I went with the 3/4 ton for keeps. Never have regretted it.
Have a 2500 hd its a chevy with a duramax when i got it the only thing i wanted was crew cab 8 foot box and duramax if i found it in a 3500 instead of a 2500 i would have got that one but 4 door, 8 foot box, and duramax was the key
Day 39 of asking custom offsets for a company dually truck build
On your breakdown you missed on your Rachel feel efficiency and handle ability because if you’re buying 3/4 or 1 ton you’re playing on weight that’s the reason why you’re buying 3/4 or 1 ton you’re going to haul wait are you pulling a gooseneck are you feeling a bumper hitch are you pulling a fifth wheel well gooseneck or fifth wheel a dually base gives you a broader a wider base for a quartering which usually comes as a wonton you could special order 3/4 but also weight capacity gear ratio fuel efficient okay you get a 3/4 ton with highway gears your phone at 10,000 lb trailer over hills well you’re going to suffer on fuel efficiency power range and grunt Force you buy a wonton or one ton dually with the gear ratio variance well pull the same trailer or the same health you’re going to get better fuel efficiency because it’s already rated and geared for fuel efficiency
3/4 powerstroke hands down
A 2500 with 4,000lbs payload?!?! My ‘18 Ram mega cab 2500 only has 1800lbs payload 🙁
Day 91 of asking co for black and milled davincis
A DuraMaxx!
Good Stuff, Great Tips👍🏿😀 2016 F250 XLT 6.2L Gas Flex Fuel 4W 4D 6ft bed (Stock) 8ft bed was my first choice.
Nice to see wistlindiesel get a clip on here
Almost every cop and sheriffs that has pulled us over up here in Washington has been pretty chill about the height of our trucks, but there is always the cops and sheriffs that aren’t. The state patrol are not so cool.
I have two 1998 Chevrolet Silverado K1500s. But wait, there’s more. One of them is a standard 4X4 and the other has the Z71 off road package. They both have the F44 and Z82 packages as well. That means that they both have 14 bolt 3/4 ton rear differentials with 6 lug axle shafts and an added leaf spring giving them 5 in total. These are factory "HD" options but they aren’t labeled as such and being Chevys they both have the classic rake to them. I know this is a 2500/3500 video, but they are still technically 3/4 ton trucks but don’t use 8 lugs. 10,000 lb tow ratings as well.
Rear axles are all the same on 3/4 and 1 ton
My 2004 F250 single cab rides likes a log truck with leaf springs in front and back!
1 tons are harder to insure for personal use,and subject to Dot inspection if being used for work. All 1 tons are now over 10001 gvwr. Some 3/4tons are now in the category as well….
25th!
I have 2013 3500 SRW short bed duramax. When I was looking for it, it was weird how a 3500 was going for about 2k less on the used market. I figured the extra strength is better to have and not need. Only difference was my registration was higher initially but that got cancelled out cuz I get free Veteran plates for life so I think I’ll always get a 3500 if it’s available
I’ll stick to towing 30k with my ford fuckin ranger
Certain places 1 tons are cheaper than 3/4 for insurance
Thanks Joe Biden
3/4 ton 3rd gen Ram 2500 for me.
I’m a happy owner of a F450 dually w/ a Kelderman lift. Since I tow a gooseneck two car toy hauler and a 65′ boat trailer from time to time anything less just wouldn’t work for me.
Since before I bought my new truck, always found C/O to be a good source of info and entertainment. Thanks for the content.
I feel like one ton is better I’d rather have that extra capacity then not to have it.

👍👍
I have two f350. One is a dually and one is a single rear wheel. The. I have a 79 f150 with a 6 cylinder from a 78 f100. It has pulled a 8k pound camper up a 20% grade hill before. Then a 78 f100 that is lowered with a 506 cubic inch v8 making 873 hp. Built trans that is anything would explode in the trans it would shot out the bottom. If I was to take the truck to a drag strip I would have to put a parachute on the truck.
bought a f350 srw. because I found one with the options I wanted at an easy to agree with price. only reason to not but a 1 ton is you pay a little extra at registration time being above 10k gvwr here in WV. but having the payload capacity (more so legally) is worth it.
I own both 3/4 ton and 1 ton truck which are a Chevrolet c20 custom deluxe redular cab long bed and a 1 ton Dodge dually
